Just tried to eat here, 16 Nov 2024 at 7:00 PM. The restaurant was full so the hostess put us on the list, I was standing next to her and could see that the list didn’t have any other names on it. The hostess then asked us to go wait outside so we didn’t clog up the entranceway. She took our number, and I pointed out the window at my car and said “We will be in that car!” It was a little weird to ask us to leave the restaurant to wait, but whatever, we played along.

While sitting in our car with a view through the restaurant window, we watched two parties come in. Both were immediately seated. Between these couples coming in, we watched the hostess talk to another restaurant employee (manager maybe?) and point at our car. While walking one of the couples to their table, the hostess looked at us in our car and made eye contact with us.

We then walked in the restaurant. Without saying a word to the hostess, she said to us “Did you ignore my call?” We watched her the entire time while we were waiting, she didn’t attempt to call. She just sat the couples that walked in and completely ignored us because it was easier. Then, once we came in, she tried to tell us it was our fault. Even if we didn’t answer her call, she knew exactly where we were, no attempt was made to wave us in or come get us.

To be fair, the food looked good and restaurant smelled amazing. Your hostess, however, is a liar. We just left and went to another...

Haven’t been to the 12 mile location in a while, Birmingham location is good, but to pricey, so, yesterday, took 2 of my friends to dinner on 12 mile, 1st, I ordered a Mountain Dew, & my friend ordered a Pepsi, the 3rd a water, the Mountain Dew yellow color was almost clear, & my friend who ordered a Pepsi, asked me to taste it, she said it tasted diet, the waitress came around & I asked her to change the Mountain Dew of mine to a Pepsi, & my friend asked her, did she bring diet pop by accident, she said, no, we get complaints everyday, that it’s not real Pepsi, nor real Mountain Dew, it’s a Leonard’s Syrup, that tastes like the real thing, but isn’t, for Salvatore’s, I would have expected better, cheap side salad, not very warm soup, I ordered Shrimp Scampi & couldn’t even chew the shrimp, it was so overcooked, & my lady friend ordered lasagna, & my other friend Spaghetti & meat sauce, both left 1/2 there meals they were so bad, like they scrapped the bottom of the pot for sauce, but for $75.00 & a $15.00 tip, let alone, I don’t know if the roof is leaking, due to paint flakes all over the ceilings, some ready to fall in someone’s food, it was a very BIG DISAPPOINTMENT, SORRY, BUT THE...

Since the first time I came here I fell in love. I asked if I could have mostiaccioli noodles instead of spaghetti in a dish and I was cheerfully told, "You can have whatever you want!" I was in my 20s, and still not quite adept at twirling noodles. Now in my 40's, I have to say I don't come here as often as I should. Maybe its because I associate this place with big groups of my friends all getting together (and its hard to do that with busy lives)and dining on as much laughter as good food...no, GREAT food. It wasn't even the main course that blew me away today. It was the minestrone. Yep, a bowl of soup that tasted just like mom used to make. Theirs is different. Its almost creamy, with big chunks of vegetables and beans with a hint of smoky ham goodness. I bet it cures the common cold. I could have eaten that with a few slices of ciabatta and been done, but I ordered the Chicken Tosca. Breaded chicken breast in a lemon wine sauce with garlic, onions, and mushrooms. YUM....and a cannoli to go. Anne B. Was our server tonight. She was lively and cheerful and added a great element of fun to our evening. We all walked out and said "We have to do...

Customer service on the phone was great but in person it was rushed. I ordered calamari and scampi with jumbo shrimp on angel pasta. The calamari was soft, tasted ok, and i liked the style. Most places dont have this style cut for calamari. I just wish it was properly cooked to a nice crisp and they forgot to add the dipping sauce😡. The salad was very good, fresh ingredients and the dressing on point. The scampi however was just flooded in oil. The green peas tasted good, the shrimp was dry and I wonder how they consider that size to be jumbo shrimp. Its clearly closer to 34-40 shrimp rather than jumbo. The angel pasta had nice texture. Marinara sauce tasted good. At the end of the day I found this to be a horrible experience. A $ 34 meal for one should be prepared properly and not missing anything especially dipping sauce. I wont be coming back and dont recommend it to anyone.

I felt like the menu was intentionally deceptive. It says in bold at the top "Homemade Pasta". We went in specifically for this, expecting the pasta to be made in-house, only to be told that it's box pasta and that "homemade" means "build your own". The server seemed irritated at me when i said that it felt misleading, and she said it was 'my own interpretation'. I tried to explain that "homemade" implies from scratch, or housemade...not build-your-own. But, either way, it feels quite pricey for box pasta. Also, the salad was DRIPPING in dressing, completely saturated. The main dish was good, and there was lots of parking which is awesome! but I don't think I'll be returning. Also, their phone system doesn't work (I had tried to call to make a reservation and it hung up on me twice and the third time said the entry was invalid).

I was excited to try their food after seeing them celebrating 40 years, pics in the review and having 4 stars…unfortunately that was the opposite of our experience. Food was overpriced and not good. The lasagna wasn’t very good, the chicken in the salad was soggy. The salad was loaded with tomato. Minestrone soup tasted like a vegetable medley soup. Chicken mushroom Marsala was good according to my guest. One of the waitresses were super nice, unfortunately our waitress (giving her the benefit of the doubt) was having a bad day. The red sauce they serve with the bread was good. Bread was ok. The best thing there is the Romano dressing. They don’t have ranch but the Romano was just as good. Very clean inside, but small. Cute outdoor patio seating.
