This place has gone down hill for some time. I used to come here to get their burgers because they were cooked to perfection and simply delicious…now I am shocked at how much they have changed for the worst. I came here yesterday and ordered from the bar. They were busy but I was understanding and they seemed staffed well so I didn’t worry. One hour later, I was on the verge of walking out from hunger and annoyance considering the bartender and waitstaff didn’t check on us or ask us how we were doing ONCE. Didn’t refill our drinks, didn’t update us on our food, and seemed to not care to be honest. After what seemed like ages, our food came out hot but undercooked. My burger was to be WELL DONE, and I took a bite and to my horror my burger wasn’t just undercooked but RAW inside(literally looked like I just opened a pack of ground chuck from the store) and my stomach turned as blood dripped all over my plate and pants. I immediately got up and went to the restroom and returned to get a bartender or waitresses attention, and finally another man at the bar had to grab one because we were ignored. They remade my burger and I ate the edges and discovered my center of my WELL done burger was pink again. The fries were also terribly undercooked and soggy. Today I woke up with food poisoning and severe stomach pain from their food. Avoid this place like the plague, they do not care about their customers or their food! Oh, and to top it off, I was still charged full price for my burger and our total for 1 burger, 1 sandwich and ONE order of fries(sold separately may I add!) came out to $39! This place is NOT worth anyone’s time or health. I usually don’t write reviews much but I am horribly disappointed and sick today and the fact that nobody seemed to care I was served raw hamburger speaks volumes. If you like being ignored and getting food poisoning, this place is absolutely...
Read moreThis could have been a good experience, but unfortunately it was mediocre.
For starters, what good is a beer menu when you ask for 3 different beers and THEY ARE NOT AVAILABLE? Or you have one and want a second and are told that was the last one.
Then the food. One of my biggest pet peeves at an eatery is asking me how I would like my burger cooked then just serving it however the cook felt like making it.
I absolutely can't stand cold center in any form of meat. I normally order my burgers well, but didn't want to risk ruining the Waygu beef, so I went with medium well. Unfortunately it was damn near rare. Surprised it didn't go moooooo. Would have been an amazing burger if it had been cooked as ordered.
No, I wasn't sending it back. I had just drove 24 miles at 4:30pm on a Friday, got rear ended, my vehicle was now smashed up, so I was already late meeting friends for dinner. I just wanted a beer off the list and a burger cooked right. I was hungry!
The loaded tots, albeit cold from arriving 45 minutes late, were very good.
Service was pretty good though. Did have to flag down the waitress and ask for a plate and silverware upon arriving in order to eat the cold tots. She probably didn't expect me to eat them being so cold. Felt bad the poor waitress had to keep telling me they didn't have the beer I was asking for.
So for me, this was a 3 star experience and not worth driving back through Detroit with all the lunatics for...
Read moreWent here today with some coworkers for our lunch break. Sat down and ordered our food to-go at 12:20. The bartender told us a to-go order for 14 had just come in and suggested we order our food in-house so that we wouldn't have to wait forever, since in-house was priority. She also said the kitchen only had one cook, so we expected a bit of a wait and were patient. Almost an hour goes by and we still didn't have our food. At this point, we needed to get back to work because we were late. We inquired about how much longer our food would take and we were told the cook hadn't even started it yet. We then asked for refunds and were met aggressively by the staff. The money we had left for tip was literally tossed back at us and the cook herself had to come out and do the refunds herself for some reason (maybe she was also the manager, I'm not sure). We asked for a refund at 1:20 and didn't end up leaving with our money until 1:45 because the staff was visibly frazzled by returning our payment. The cook took her frustration out on the bartender, and the bartender took her frustration out on us. We understand that lunch rushes are busy and we are patient when establishments are clearly under-staffed... but how this situation was handled was wildly unprofessional and I won't be going back. Will also be telling others in my circles to avoid this place as well. Went for the waygu burgers, left with an empty stomach and unnecessary...
