Taj Restaurant — Restaurant in Warren

I visited Taj Resultant and decided to get takeout, ordering their Goat Biryani and Goat Haleem based on the good reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing.

First, the Goat Biryani was dry and lacked the rich, flavorful taste I expected. The rice didn’t seem well-infused with spices, and the goat pieces were undercooked and tough, making it difficult to chew. A well-made biryani should have tender, juicy meat that blends seamlessly with aromatic rice, but this one fell short in both texture and taste.

The Goat Haleem was slightly better in comparison, with a decent consistency, but it still lacked depth in flavor. It felt like it was missing the slow-cooked richness that makes a good haleem stand out.

Overall, for the price and reputation of the restaurant, I expected much better quality. I hope they improve their cooking process, especially ensuring that the meat is properly cooked and the biryani is more flavorful. Not sure if I would return, but if I do, I’d certainly hope for a...

My husband and I love Taj and try to go at least once a month. Food is delicious and great quantity for the price. The last trip was pretty unbecoming though. We called and placed an order for pickup. The person on the phone seemed really flustered and confused and hung up without asking our name or telling us an estimated pick-up time. We waited 20 minutes before leaving the house making an estimate. When arriving our meal was not ready yet (not a big deal), but one of the patrons in the store was not wearing a mask at all, and the employee had their mask pulled down. We ended up not getting the raita we had ordered with our meal and our samosa chaat was missing the chutney it usually comes with. I am in LOVE! I have been searching for an Indian place since I moved to the area over a year ago. Other places have lacked flavor and authenticity, but Taj Restaurant was AMAZING. I ordered basic this time while I wanted to test this place out: Paneer Tikka Masala, which was on the sweeter sides compared to many I've had but the flavor was on point; Veggie Samosas, my absolute favorite!; and Gobi Manchurian, THIS is the most important dish for me to have right--and it definitely was.
