I remember Bloom bake shop back in the day being in Middletown where I would try to stop in at least once every other month for the amazing cupcakes and numerous gluten free options . Then they opened up on Monroe street and has been an amazing growth as it’s been super busy whenever I stop in. Recently someone told me they have a smaller location near the East side and I jumped at the opportunity. What a great and cozy vibe they have going here . Will definitely be coming back allot more frequently ! It was close to lunch time and I picked up a couple of the Gruyère & ham croissants (not Gf) that were stunningly good . Addictive good and highest quality ingredients : as I have learned to expect from their other location. Also picked up a gluten free scone (not pictured ) which was for later in the day . Really excited to know these guys are also in the East part of town . Will be a new staple to add to the rotation .

I tried this bakery for the first time a couple of weeks ago and OMG? I’ve never had an almond croissant before but now all I can think about is eating an entire case of them. The filling was TO DIE FOR. Do not pass up on their pastries because their passion fruit danish and orange morning buns were INSANE. I grabbed a box of like five different desserts and was so happy with how everything tasted. I 100% recommend trying them out asap. The ambiance is also super cute. This bakery is attatched to both a coffee shop and a beer spot. I hopped on over to grab myself a matcha latte and was pleasantly surprised at how well it went with all of my goodies!

The opening of the Northstreet Bloom coincided with our own move to within walking distance, and it was very exciting to anticipate a daily walk to collect a baguette - an act I have enjoyed in practically every French town I have visited, but almost impossible here. Sad to say that the reality has not lived up to that early promise. For while one can obtain a good variety of pastries and croissants on a pretty dependable basis, the purchase of actual bread is another matter. It seems that those longed-for baguettes never make it from the west-side location; us lesser mortals on the east side must make do with a smattering of country sourdough loaves - if there are any. Not for us either the ability to order online for pickup. A pity really, and I am not sure why we cannot enjoy the same privileges as...
