Captain D's — Restaurant in Madison

I didn't mean to leave 1 star. However, the owner nicely responded and said that my experience shouldn't have been a 1 star experience. I tried to reply to explain why I left a low rating, but I couldn't get it to send. I'm not angry or anything bc it seemed to be just a kid, probably his 1st job learning. But, I ordered a 3 piece spicy fish meal. It said it was about $10 for everything. I wanted to add extra fish. The way he rang it up somehow made my order right at $19.00. I didn't get any extra sides, drinks, or anything. If I was going to pay double, I may as well just ordered the same order again. At least I would have gotten extra sides and a drink. Also, every time I visit this location, it takes longer than any other restaurant I've visited to get ppls orders and through the drive-through within a reasonable time. Anyway, I didn't want to complain bc the kid was extremely nice, and you could tell he was trying. But, he seemed to be on his own. Regardless, times are hard for everyone, and I could have fed one of my 4 kids with that money. He's on the right track, tho. Good kid. At least...

First time every at a Captain D's. The place was easy to get into the area around store was clean. We walked in was greeted as we entered the restaurant. We placed our order with the girl behind the register which was very polite and answered any questions we had about certain items from the menu. We got our drinks and sauces from the well organized bar and headed to our table. The girl that took our order was right behind us with our order in hand. Wow, that was awesome. Our food was hot, it smelt good and was delivered fast to our tables. I really enjoyed eating at this restaurant and noticed shortly after we had sat down it seem to pick up with customers coming in or ordering to go. If you haven't tried this place out you really need to give them a try. Five stars from me for the appearance, the employees and the food itself. Man when I tell you I wasted 20$ I could have done anything else besides stop here on my way home from work. First off I ordered the new seafood trio platter with a coke. First red flag was she didn’t even tell me it was Pepsi they don’t have coke. Next red flag there was only about 4 old people scattered around but every single table had crumbs or residue on it. Next flag was the food comes out 20 minutes later and all of it is over cooked, the shrimp dark brown and chewy. The devil crab black as a hockey puck, the lobster bites hard and dark like the whoppers candy. The fish was nasty, full of grease and the only thing wasn’t over cooked was the fries and (sour) Cole slaw because they both were cold. I took pictures this place was not it and I would not recommend. The food quality is low and unpleasant.
