Two completely different experiences if you order online for pickup or delivery versus actually going there.
Physically going there and ordering right at the counter 99% of the time the get the order correct and portion sizes are great. Usually never any problems here, other than once in a great while the food itself can be "old", such as rice being hard as a rock or meat being a hunk of skin or fat instead of actual meat.
Highly recommend NEVER ordering online for pickup or delivery. Not sure what back alley job is going on here when orders come in from online, but it's completely different. The burritos and bowls are HALF full, at best, if you're LUCKY for portions. The tiny portions you do get in a bowl is so sloppy and lump sided with ingredients, I would say it looks like they were training an infant on how to create a bowl of food, but that would be an insult to infants. Ordering extra of ANYTHING is laughable, because it NEVER comes with extra like you may ask for. It's so pathetic and disappointing. Even if the portion sizes ever come remotely close to how they are in person or how it should be, they still manage to get the order wrong - white rice instead of brown, wrong beans, completely missing ingredients you asked for, etc. Best part is they fulfil about 20 in person orders, give or take a few, before they take care of your online order, even if it came in about 10 minutes prior. It blows my mind how long it takes them to actually start online orders, then manage to completely and utterly screw it up in every way possible.
I've given order ahead and delivery multiple chances, but it's constantly a huge failure of service. If you want food from here, the only option is to physically go in and order right there for dine in or take out. The only reason it has 2 stars...
Read moreThey've been around for 25 years, if you need me to tell you about Chipotle I'll assume you know nothing about them... To start they have a few basic vehicles in which to transfer delicious meat or meat like products (read tofu), tacos, burritos, or salads. Once you choose how you'd like yummyness transferred to you then choose the main course type of yummy. Beef/steak (pretty straightforward steak type stuff with medium to light seasoning), chicken (super yummy type diced chicken stuff with a bit more aggressive seasoning, aka super tasty), barbacoa (roast beef looking stuff, medium seasoning, pretty moist), carnitas (pulled pork, light seasoning, super moist but light on the seasoning, what you'd you tell someone who thinks regular tacos are super spicy, chorizo (very odd texture and flavor, not what I expected from something Chipotle calls chorizo, I like chorizo but don't like this chorizo, your milage may vary), and tofu (I've had amazing smoked tofu hippy burritos whiltst traveling and had high hopes for this but it was just awful, were I vegan and had no other choice between this and starvation I'd choose this but it would be close).
So then you got salsa, yum, cheese, sour cream, lettuce all standard yummy. AND THEN YOU SEE THE GUACAMOLE! Order 17 sides of this with just OK chips, it makes up for r the just OK chips.

Read moreI love making choices; I love places that allow me to substitute certain ingredients, and mold a delicious meal that is to my own tastes...and on top of that, I love spicy, savory meals that are comprised of some sort of meat and some form of rice.
That being said, I go to Chipotle at least once a week. I can't go longer than that without my burrito bowl! They also carry Izze, which is a healthier, more natural alternative to the soda fountain and it is pretty tasty!
As far as how the place looks...meh. It's a chain restaurant...and unfortunately the dining area has a very cheap, haphazardly built feel to it. There is a patio, however, but it faces a parking lot. That doesn't stop me from eating Chipotle; I simply eat my meal elsewhere.
Now, I gave the service a two because I feel like I need a card that reads "YES, I KNOW the Guacamole is extra". Now, that's not much of a complaint, seeing as I go there so often, I will inevitably hear that phrase more often. However, it still bugs me. Other than that, I have not had any unpleasant experiences at Chipotle.
As for some of the more negative reviews of this place, many sound like they are based on a single negative outing to the place. Having been there at least a dozen times, I have not shared any of the negative experiences that some of the other reviewers have. I would definitely recommend this place...
