Cinnaholic — Restaurant in Madison

First time stepping foot in this location and was super excited to try something new with the little one about 5 minutes before 10am. Hours are posted as 7am to 7pm.... I don't see how they can do those hours when they are out of almost everything that makes sense to have on a cinnamon roll.

Out of every icing just about, each time we tried to pick one it was "Oh we're out of that one too" that's the way it went after changing the choice not once, not twice, not three times but four times and it probably would have kept going.... it just seemed at that point the employees working didn't want to serve us.

Each time I would convince my kid to maybe try a different one and we were fine with that because once again first time here and wanted to try something new we were legit excited to be able to go this morning, we were talking about it last night. To not even have regular cream cheese icing on hand is a bit sad and they couldn't even answer as to what icing they did have because apparently they didn't have anything or just didn't want to answer us. The even sadder part is there was a group that walked in as we went up to the counter to try to order, definitely lost a bunch of potential revenue.

Not going to make money if you don't have something to sell especially if you still had 9 more hours to go, your just wasting money on labor to sit around and play on phones and to seem like guests are an inconvenience. It's a great concept for a business, too bad not many get the...

So the place isn’t bad. Cute little shop, employees are nice enough. I mean they taste better than I expected for a vegan cinnamon roll, but not nearly as good as a traditionally made one. If it’s your preferred way to eat it’s a good substitute. I won’t be back just cuz it wasn’t great compared to traditionally made ones and it had a weird aftertaste. I didn’t take off stars because there isn’t anything specifically wrong just not my preferred. It definitely doesn’t smell like a bakery which is a bummer and like I mentioned it has an aftertaste I don’t particularly like, but again if it’s your preferred eating style then it works. The only thing the business could do different that did bother me is wear hair nets. Not one employee even the ones in the back kitchen wore them and I find that very disturbing. If you are handling food served to the public you absolutely should wear hair nets. Other than that it’s a fine establishment. Was so excited to try out the new Cinnaholic location. I had been looking forward to it for months. Then noticed at the register the prices were ringing out higher than what they had listed on their wall for a store that opened 3 days prior. I bought three rolls. I noticed two of them rang up for more than what the sign says they are. Caramel Apple rang up for $8.00 though sign says is $7.75 and Shake Rattle & Roll rang up for $7.50 but the sign says $7.25. Very Berry says $7.25 and actually rang up as that. I had wanted a fourth roll but they were out of them so I don’t know if the problem persisted through other pricing or not. When I questioned the discrepancy to the employee she replied, “I just work here.” Then I get home with my order and find no berries at all on the Very Berry and no frosting on the other two.
