I wanted to start off by saying that I didn't take the best pictures, wasn't really planning on making a review, I thought I had already made one in the past, but here they are at least, wished I had taken better pictures but didn't think I'd be making a review so sorry about the quality.
Anyhow, the food here is pretty spectacular, the sushi is awesome, and the food in of itself was pretty delicious, and the prices are pretty reasonable on top of that.
(The photo of this particular Sushi Roll is the one that has a seaweed wrap with visual rice.)
I got the Spider Roll which has 6 pieces of sushi the main ingredients are:
Spider Roll- (Fried soft-shell crab, avocado, cucumber and flying fish roe (fish eggs on inside), topped with eel sauce.)
and a plate of Chicken Fried Rice, with water and lemon, the price was almost $20.00 exactly, that's also taking into consideration that I got water, which is free. (The photo of this particular Sushi Roll is the one that has a crust on it, with the orange sauce spread.)
(I would have taken photos of the other things listed down below but I didn't think I'd be making a review as I thought I had already made one in the past but didn't, so my bad.)
My girlfriend got the Ginger Salad, Miso Soup, and The Spicy Crunchy Crab Roll, main ingredients being: also
Spicy Crunchy Crab Roll - (Deep-fried, with crab stick and crunchies, topped with spicy mayo sauce, and she asked to get the Fish Roe added onto it.)
Hers also costed nearly $20, which isn't bad for what you get, also taking into consideration that she got Pepsi so that includes the price of the drink also. Also the waiter was absolutely awesome, kept a check up on us, asked if we needed anything pretty frequently, and helped us when we had questions, and was very patient when we had questions about a particular item, and was very explanatory, and honestly one of the best servers I've had in a while, so hats off to this guy, I wished I could have remembered and gotten his name so I could have commended him for his spectacular job of waiting on us, all in all I appreciate that very, very much, and made the whole experience phenomenal, he definitely got a handsome tip for sure.
Anyhow, in conclusion, the food is awesome, the Chicken and Rice was delicious, the sushi was awesome as well, and the waiter done a spectacular job, which made the experience even better, definitely recommend this place if you're wanting some Japanese/Chinese food, will be heading back 100%, also the prices are pretty reasonable as...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFood - inauthentic and nothing special. Our stomachs unfortunately hurt after the visit and that is the only reason we are leaving the review.
We had the dumplings for appetizers ($8 for 6). You have a choice of steamed or fried. We chose fried. Good size dumplings The wrapper itself was soggy and the meat inside didnāt have too much flavor. The sauce it came with was VERY sweet.
I had the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice ($14). You will be served a large plate of the battered chicken with a side bowl of sweet and sour sauce. The fried rice came in the same size bowl as the sauce which I thought was odd. Nothing special about the fried rice. The batter around the chicken was fried a beautiful golden brown but the meat was inconsistent in terms of moisture. Some were very dry and the others were juicy! There were also times I was eating more batter with little-no chicken there. It came with their sweet and sour sauce which was more sweet than anything. I mean SWEET!!! If they did put any kind of āsourā element to the dish, the sugar overpowered it tenfold. Not exaggerating. I didnāt really take to the low reviews prior to our visit because I like to make my own judgments but they were right about the sugar used in the meals. This dish also had green peppers, onions and carrots - imo not enough. There were also pineapples that didnāt even taste like pineapples - indescribable.
My husband had the orange chicken ($14). Again, the sauce was VERY sweet and had no other flavor than sweet! No citrusy flavor or any other seasoning can be tasted other than pure sugar.
Service & atmosphere - greeted and seated right away. Not too busy at 5:30pm on a Monday. Not too many smiles around the place. Server got our drink orders right away. Wait time for the food itself was short. I thought it was odd that the gentlemen behind us got his water refilled 3x while ours were refilled 0x.
$39.24 for the whole bill and Iāll always try some place once but definitely not again if itās not worth it.
Iām a foodie and one of those people who always take a photo of their food before eating (camera always eats before me), but this was so inauthentic and forgettable that I didnāt even bother š
Still on the hunt for the best Chinese food in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGrabbed carry out from here for lunch because I wanted to try a new place.
I placed my order through their online ordering system, which is convenient but not super user-friendly, in my opinion. I figured it out quickly enough, but it was a bit of a process. My food was ready when I arrived and the hostess and bartender that directed me and passed my food off to me were both quite pleasant.
We ordered General Tso's chicken and curry chicken. The General Tso's got super mushy on the way home, steaming in its container, but I don't really hold that against them. It was generic but had an okay flavor. Wish there had been some more veggies.
Unfortunately, the curry chicken was a monumental let-down. I chose it because I'd seen so many positive reviews of what people described as "red curry chicken." When I placed my order, this was the only curry dish on the menu, labeled "curry chicken," so I figured the red was just a descriptor given by readers and that's what I'd come home with.
Not so; I don't know if the red curry was taken off the menu or if I didn't see it somehow or what, but I was given chicken in a distinctly greenish colored curry. Okay, no problem, user error on my part, I suppose, and I like green curry too so this is fine.
Well...it would've been...except my meal was so, so, so, SO bland. I don't think I've ever had bland curry in my life until now, but this one was. The curry itself was also on the thin side, the chicken was chewy, and the bell peppers weren't cooked enough for my preference. My main complaint is the total lack of flavor, though. Wow. No spice, no saltiness, very minimal sweetness, just a touch of herbs but only in an aromatic way. All in all, a very...
