Jack's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Madison

Had a few extra minutes to spare this morning. Thought about going Burger King, didn't have enough time to go to Bojangles and I've never had a problem at Jack's till this morning. Drive through line moved quickly. Got my food and brought it home so my wife and I could have breakfast together before we left for work. She had a sausage gravy biscuit, lots of gravy one biscuit broken up and half a sausage patty broken into four pieces. I didn't do too well in geometry but I could tell that was not a full sausage patty. I had a chicken biscuit. Pretty much the same thing I get everywhere. Jack is always done me right chicken biscuits until this morning, the biscuit was decent tasting like it might have been sitting for an hour but it was definitely made that morning, can't say the same for the chicken not crispy at all kind of gooey actually. You can tell it was left over from the day before if not longer. I think I'll take the extra time for a little while and drive to the place down the road, where the spicy chicken biscuits with ranch...

I went into Jack's on Hughes Road in Madison on Sunday evening November 10th at 5:30 to order two 3-piece chicken dinners for takeout. In addition to the two sides, I wanted an order of mac n' cheese, but was told they were out of mac n' cheese.

I was then told they were also out of biscuits, but would I accept Texas toast?. Having no other choice, I agreed. When I got home, this was what I found (see photos attached). It was two pieces of white bread, barely toasted on one side! The rest of the food was delicious as usual, which is why I usually "Eat at Jack's!"

I don't know why this Jack's would run out of food items at 5:30 on a Sunday evening, but it leaves me to wonder were they really out, or just didn't want make anymore? I can just imagine the disappointment of the Monday morning customers when they were told there weren't any biscuits for their...

We live in Madison and always frequent this Jacks location on Hughes Road. Twice this week the service has been subpar. The wait times for simple orders are now taking 20 minutes or longer to receive and the overall quality has greatly diminished. Today we ordered the breakfast special, pancakes, double sausage and gravy biscuits and a chicken biscuit. We waited over 25 minutes. I even asked if I needed to just get my money back. The young man said no my order would be ready in the next 1 minute and 42 seconds. That turned into an additional 7 minutes. The food was hot but it was not good! The gravy had absolutely no sausage in it. The chicken was hot but it was not fully cooked. I did observe that it seemed to be teenagers working.
