Yesterday, in the midst of packing for my impending work trip to California, I realized I lacked a crucial black pair of shoes required for a production character. The frantic search took me to eight different stores, causing me to rush through packing and catch my flight. At last, I found a suitable pair at this thrift store.
Yet, my ordeal didn't end there. An employee at the thrift store, seemingly attuned to my stress, made it her mission to worsen my day. Upon completing a transaction with the customer ahead of me, she scorned me for placing the shoes on the wrong side of the counter. Following this chastisement, she maliciously ignored my presence and embarked on a painstakingly slow restocking of shopping bags, more sluggish than the pace of a snail's crawl. A persistent smirk adorned her face throughout this ordeal.
In an attempt to defuse the situation, I politely informed the woman that I didn't require a bag, but she responded with another taunting smirk, stubbornly refusing to acknowledge me. Her calculated efforts to deliberately delay her bag-stocking only added to my distress. Needless to say, I left without purchasing said shoes.
As a neurodivergent individual, this traumatic experience pushed me to an alarmingly unhealthy mental state, necessitating both medication and intervention to regain my emotional equilibrium. I am firmly convinced that the employee who subjected me to this torment that afternoon must face a thorough reevaluation and, potentially, termination due to her egregiously rude and provocative behavior. Such conduct, especially toward individuals grappling with illnesses, constitutes a form of abuse that cannot be tolerated.

Read moresaw another review comment on the prices being a little above other thrift stores. We've been thrifting a lot lately and this is one of the cheapest thrift stores we've found so far so I'm not sure what thrift stores she had been to. The first time we went we didn't really find anything that stood out to us but we've been back 2 more times since and It's gotten better each time. Several good clothing items for great deals and shoes too. We love the auctions they offer at all the DRM locations. You can get some really good deals on higher value items. We recently picked up a solid wood round coffee table with 6 drawers and 3 shelfs under it for $20. We were mind blown it was listed for so little. We like to go during their 50% off deals once or twice a month but this coffee table was listed as $20 on a full price day. We couldn't help ourselves with that deal. They have a ton of donations outside that they are going through and the back is full of donations. They are always putting new stuff out. They'v got great deals on furniture and kitchen items. Great experience and the staff has always been...
Read moreEveryone that works at this establishment acts if they're incompetent and in return provides rude customer service for their lack thereof and inadequacy. It never ceases to amaze me that sometimes people who choose to work where they work, by choice, take it out on those who have nothing to do with the choice that person made. I sat on Saturday waiting from 10 am until 2pm, without a phone call to inform me that pickup was changed from 11am to 3pm. I then called back at 2pm to find out the ETA of the driver and the answer I received was they don't have the phone number of the individual that is supposed to deliver their pickups to the store (smh). In addition, I called a 2nd time to inform the manage that it was 2pm and we hadn't seen or heard from anyone and as a result I was left on hold and then hung up on. I called the store back after I was hung up on, twice to see what happened and the call was not answered. I'm giving away a very nice sofa set in great condition and this establishment couldn't care less. It's 2:22 pm and the furniture still hasn't been picked up....
