I'm just so very disappointed tonight due to an experience with a place that the couple other times I've went I've highly enjoyed. We came in tonight to eat with some friends during their lunch break and did not leave til after they had already needed to return. We ordered simple items (that Moes was out of such as pork and green beans) which we understand that sometimes happens. The issue stands that we ordered and I waited at the counter after about 20 minutes and a guy in a purple jacket and short hair refused to talk to me even after asking what orders were up there and just shrugged at anyone who asked a question. He whispered into the mic rather than saying who's food was ready. Only then (after 25 minutes) the blonde lady who had taken our order (who was working her tail off and WAS DOING the work of the cook as well) said we're out of green beans what would you like instead.. then she had to ask the guys to work on our order to get it out. They had already pre-made some of our order so our chicken was cold and dry and the mac and cheese tasted like strictly pasta with no cheese. I really feel like the dude cooking our food was inebriated because the stare was that of nothing and he could care less if we got our food on time. It took 35 to 40 minutes to receive our food and it took my friends 25 to 30 minutes to receive there's. All in all the blonde lady who was there absolutely KILLED it but if I see the cooks we had tonight you can bet that I will not be eating at this establishment anymore. Really sucks to say but it was honestly that bad. Hopefully things change...
Read moreI truly wish that I had read the reviews before ordering from this location. I am here visiting my daughter and thought about ordering some food plus sides from this location. Before I get started, I would like it to be known that I order from the Moe's BBQ location in Trussville, Alabama a lot. I requested that all my sides be mac and cheese. I was told that I couldn't get all mac and cheese because they would not have enough for the weekend, and, plus, they were fairly new to the area. I was advised to consider other sides, but I did not want other sides. I was told that I could go to the Huntsville location. This is my first time visiting this area. I did not want to go further away from my hotel, and, plus, I placed my order very early the day before. I was confused about the fact that they were passing up money now for a maybe later. I was spending over $200 for my order, so I was confused over why they were limiting me from ordering six total pint sizes. I know next time that I am visiting my daughter I know not to order from this location because they are not able to handle small orders, and the food...
Read moreNo. Just...no. For reference, I've lived in Kansas City, New Orleans (not for BBQ - keep reading) & Texas; visited Memphis and North Carolina, as well as other places they make great BBQ. This isn't it. First, $40 for a pulled pork platter, small rib (4) platter, and two fountain drinks. Then, SALT, everywhere is SALT, all you taste is SALT. ZERO smoke ring on the pulled pork, and texture that says it might as well have been boiled. The ribs at least had a (thin) smoke ring, but they were underwhelming at best (read: SALT). Potato wedges? Strangely sweet, but not sweet potatoes. Collard greens? Tasty, once you get used to being abused by salt. Red beans & rice, and jambalaya? Hardly. PLEASE, PLEASE, find a map, drive to New Orleans, and learn what those things are. I have no idea what you serve under those names, but it's definitely not red beans & rice or jambalaya. And the kicker? Someone apparently likes jam bands, because the whole time we were in the restaurant we heard a total of TWO seemingly...
