We dined in recently after this establishment (Madison location) being recommended to us by a coworker. The restaurant was fairly busy as we entered and we were ushered to another room that was empty by a super nice hostess. We were sat and other parties began to come in. Our waitress took our orders etc. After another party was seated(this made four parties in this room now) she looked at the hostess and said don’t give me anymore parties unless there are six or more and no kids. I was shocked as all of the parties in this room had kids. If we weren’t invested and had already ordered our food, we would have left. Our food came out and we tried to go on with a good time. 🗣️The food looked phenomenal! I loved my salad and the breadsticks were good. However, The flavor was lacking in some areas. The sauce on the pies lacked flavor/seasoning but it was still decent. I did like the thin crust. (The kids are pizza connoisseurs and devoured it.) The kids complained that the spaghetti was spicy and I honestly didn’t believe them until I tried it. It was very spicy to be a kid’s menu entree of spaghetti. I thought that was odd. The artichoke on my sandwich was so hard that I couldn’t chew it. I did remove it and otherwise, it tasted pretty good and the portions were big! My husband however did enjoy his meal. We never saw our waitress again for refills, check on us etc. (I’m talking like 20 minutes) Someone from a different party actually got up and went to the counter to ask for a refill. We did see her after this and she left the check. We asked for a refill to go and she disappeared again for about 10 minutes, reappeared took our payment, came back and sat it down and said have a good day and walked off. No drinks to go. We definitely didn’t have the best experience. I’m not sure if we will return to this exact location but The place was cute and clean! Hostess staff was great! The kids did get these cool stick figure things that were moldable and kept them occupied and quiet almost the...
Read moreOnly my second time at this location and to say the least I was disappointed. We had a party of 5 (I’m a wheelchair user) and it seemed like it was an issue with seating us? It was about 3:10p and the only customers in the place were seated at the booths by the door. The other areas and bar were vacant. So the greeter asked us to wait then a few minutes later a server came and asked if we wanted a table or a booth. Then the original greeter returned and asked if it would be okay to push two tables together? Sure but why ask us? The whole vibe was off but we stayed because we were hungry and wanted to celebrate a 50th birthday. Got cheese sticks to start but they were bland. They were hot but lacked taste. By now our server don’t remember her name was coming around and was more friendly than when we arrived. We had pasta, burgers and Stromboli. The South Street Seaport Stromboli (what I had) was delicious. Overall an okay experience but definitely will choose a different place to celebrate the next...
Read moreOur waitress was very monotone and looked like she didn’t want to be there and made us feel like we an inconvenience. The hostess with the denim overalls was not helpful at all. The context is that we asked the hostess for a Togo box bc our waitress wasn’t around after waiting for her to come by and she said, “When your waitress comes by, you can ask her to get you one.” I understand that it might not be in her job description to help us get a box, but after we asked her, she was just slumped over the counter with her hands holding up her head not doing anything, so it wouldn’t have hurt her to hep out for a second. Also, when I went to the restroom, the bathroom was not very sanitary or clean. It smelt like piss and there was so many pubes in the urinal that I thought it was a daddy long-leg. Furthermore, there were kids in a room throwing dough at the window. Hopefully none of that dough was used for my pizza. The food was okay, but definitely not...
