More like WhataMistake. This chain is known for good food and good service, but this location is doomed already. It appears the owner doesn't care.
First visit, early on a weekday morning, around 6:30, only one car in line, at the window. The order intercom tells me to wait (to place my order) as I pull up. Minutes pass. The car doesn't get its order, and I don't place mine, and have to leave.
Today, Saturday, 2/25/23, I tuck in at 1:10 p.m., and there are maybe 10 cars in the drive-thru, so I go in. There are about 20 customers inside, but no one in line. The register is attended but she does not look at me nor greet me. I take a minute to look up at the menu and then step to the register. She continues to not look at me, stacking and drying trays, placing paper liners on them. This continues for a minute or two. She still does not speak. Finally, she slams a paper liner down with what appears to be pique, and steps to the register and looks up, smiles sardonically, but still does not speak. I look at her until she does. As I place my order, I notice her name, Mia, on her MANAGER'S name badge.
I order and sit after filling my drink. A timid server brings out orders about every four or five minutes to the waiting guests. She is slow and the table next to me has two drinks left on it an napkins, so multiple guests pass it becaues they think it is occupied. When I mention it to her, she looks like I've asked her to clean the latrine out, and is bewildered, although still not rushed. She picks up one cup. Later, I mention it again and she whimpered something.
Most tables waited 15-25 minutes for their burgers. Mine was pink inside.
The cabbage rots from the head. The only way a bad manager is retained is a bad owner is not...
Read moreWow. This review is going to sound made up, I wouldn't believe it if it didn't happen to me.
Order a burger through their app for curbside pick up. Chose 1:05-1:10 as the pick up time. Arived and entered the slot I was in into the app. There were 2-3 cars in teh drive thru and 2-3 cars in the parking lot, so not busy at all. At 1:15 I called to make sure they knew I was there and the lady on the phone literally told me "your order is ready, we are just waiting on the meat". ?!? Which is it, is it ready or is it still being cooked. Anyway. At 1:30 I go into the restaurant and told them I would like my food or a refund as I didn't have time to wait any longer. The lady turns around, picks up a bag and hands it to me. Who knows how long it had been sitting there.
This is where it goes from bad to down right dangerous. I get home about 10 minutes later, open the bag, take a bite of the burger and it was cold, refrigerater cold. I pull apart the burger, sift through the lettuce and tomato, and the hamburger patties were completely raw/uncooked. I don't mean it was a little pink. IT WAS COMPLETELY RAW.
I've had good experiences at other Whataburgers in the area, but I will never give my money to this place again. I have small kids. I can't imagine had one of my children were with me today and had gotten lunch. Ecoli can make a relatively healthy adult pretty ill, but usually doesn't result in death. For a child, ecoli can kill a healthy child...
Whataburger franchise owner/corporate: Read through the reviews here. So many are talking about bad service, but there are also quite a few talking about cold food. WAKE UP. Do something to fix this location before they...
Read moreWORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I’ve ever experienced. I don’t normally indulge in fast food but this morning I decided to treat myself. When I went to order I inquired about the honey butter biscuit because I noticed it said buttermilk or jalapeño cheddar biscuit. I asked the lady is it either or and she kept replying “okay” to my question. I even stated that I was asking her a question and she continued in an irritated manner to say “okay.” I decide to move on because she is clearly not understanding me and ask to substitute the tater-tot for fries, she proceeded to interrupt me and ask, “what to drink?” multiple times. Mind you the entire conversation she sounds aggravated and rude. When I get to the window she says my total. No “good morning,” no smile. I give her my payment and soon after that her twin brings my food. I go to open the bag and see my fries aren’t fresh. I politely ask if I can wait for fresh fries. She immediately closes the window turns around and begins to flailing her hands around as if she’s AGAIN irritated, as if I did something atrocious. After about a minute the other twin opens the window and says, “they are dropping fries” then quickly shuts the window again. I wait another minute and then lose my appetite. I decide all the attitude is not even worth the trouble. I honk my horn to get their attention and they look my direction but take awhile to come to the window. I ask for a manager and let them know I want a refund and will take my business elsewhere. The manager eventually comes to the window. He offers no apology, just asks for my receipt. I WILL NOT return to this establishment. The clearly don’t...
