I love this restaurant but recently I had lunch here with a family member who met me around 1:00. We went to this restaurant for a good lunch and to catch up on each others daily lives as family members do. Once we sat down there were not that many customers in the restaurant. We actually chose this time because we knew it would be this way and wanted a less hectic atmosphere. During the time we sat down, ordered our lunch and received our food a young lady started clearing a table right next to us. The banging of dishes and assembling chairs around the table became so loud it was ridiculous. At one point the family member who was with me actually jumped when one of the chairs made a loud bang behind her. I thought it was so rude but kept myself from saying something because I thought it would end soon. Well, it got louder and became ridiculous because of several reasons. One, there were many tables on the other side of the restaurant that could have been cleared noting the restaurant is huge, Two, the noise went on and on and grew louder to the point my relative and I could not hear each other talk. Three, I could have chosen another restaurant to eat at and had a nice quiet lunch. I finally spoke up and asked her could she please not be so loud banging things around. She smiled and walked away. Well my lunch was ruined because of having to say something. I absolutely hate to complain even though I came across nicely. The food here is great and as well as the service but the busing tables is another story. I just ask the manager to talk to the employees about being courteous when clearing tables. Other than that I highly recommend...
Read moreI’ve been to this restaurant a lot over the years and always loved it but I haven’t been there probably since Covid started. Last night I decided to order something from the menu and bring home for me and my daughter. For some reason the meal had a fishy smell to it. I had ordered fajitas Conzumel and I realized that the smell was coming from the sour cream. Unfortunately I’d put everything in the one take away dish on top of the chicken making the whole meal fishy . I scraped away as much sour cream as I could and ended up picking out the chicken and binned the rest. My daughter had the chicken Taco Salad luckily she doesn’t like sour cream so I told them to not add it on her plate because otherwise that would have been ruined as well. I think I spent roughly $43 with the add ons and it was the worse meal I’ve had in a long time. I wouldn’t normally complain but it was absolutely revolting . I’m sad to say I’ve always considered this place the best Mexican in Madison but after what they dished up last night I’m a little...
Read moreMadison residents seem to have a tendency of enjoying things that are a) entirely banal and b) somewhat disgusting. Casa Blanca is no different. For the life of me I can't understand how this chain gets any business. The food is of a supremely low quality and the restrooms make me nervous.
The only thing that sustains this chain is illlusion and niceties; somewhere along the timeline of Madison's history it was ingrained into the subconscience of the people that Casa could satisfy their appetite. Of course, Casa itself is hardly the problem. The people who own and run the chain are incredibly genuine and kind, as are the workers despite their tenaciously poor English. The problem is the standard Madison residents have for the food and entertainment industry. They are as content as a cucumber with the way things are, even if that includes eating crap...
