Mezquite Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Magna

The burrito I ordered was cold like tortilla was cold the meat , I complained kindly to the drive thru attendant, the interaction escalated to the owner being called it the window she is a petite dark skin woman with blond hair unfortunately I could not get her name bc she was not in uniform or had a name tag. What really bothered me was she was no wearing a mask she walked to the window covering her mouth with a cloth. She aggressively told me her exchange policy and she would do a one time curtesy exchange on the burrito. She mentioned it was cold bc the salsa and guacamole is kept cold but I referred to her that the meat was cold usually a burrito does not get cold that fast. I kindly again asked for a new burrito I said I only took one bite and brought it back I did not appreciate the owners aggressive demeanor of course I cannot expect better service from a poor run restaurant like that but atleast from the owner I expected more kind and understanding tone. I will not recommend or visit this restaurant. It’s unfortunate because business like this are struggling in this economic climate yet this owner treats customers like me like she did I can only imagine how often she does this. I have debated whether I should call the health department after seeing her not wearing a mask and not complying with the government mandate because I can only imagine how her sanitary practices must be if the owner herself is not practicing this protecting the community she serves. It’s a disgrace. I wish I could give this restaurant 0 stars. I just hope management sees this and ups there level of service and sanitary practices at least oh and serves warm...

JUNE 2019 update: Bumped up from 2 to 3 stars. It's hit or miss depending on who is running the place.

It's too bad. I really used to like this place. But just in the past few months it seems service and quality have gone downhill. They keep getting orders wrong and the food is either undercooked or overcooked. Enough to make someone's opinion a moot point. The fries were floppy and almost cold, the meat was burned and flavorless. When ordering in the drive-thru, you can't hear what they are saying and apparently they can't hear you either. I had to repeat my order four different times once I got to the window and the only thing they got right was the drink after I handed it back and told them it was the wrong one. With its 24 hour drive thru, this place could be really good, convenient, and worth the price if they just had a little more pride in their product...

Every single time I've gone here the food has been superb! From the chicken chimichangas, to the hot Cheetos burrito, to the breakfast burritos. All have been a great price for tasty food. I don't understand all these bad reviews on here. It seems sad that they've had to put up so many different signs explaining different things about refunds, quality of food, service,etc. I really think it's because people take advantage of any free meal they may or may not be able to get. I've been here at least 10 different times and the people are super friendly and have ALWAYS asked if I've wanted sauce. I go for that green sauce because it's always bomb!
