Stopped here for a shish kabab sandwich on the way to an appointment. Placed my order and got a number in the mid forties. Waited for my order to be called and noticed, after nearly 30 minutes, that they were already calling out numbers in the fifties. I went over to a gentleman behind the counter preparing the orders and tried to ask if it was possible my order was overlooked. He quickly shut me down by saying you'll hear your number when it gets called. I waited another 10 minutes, and when they called number 60, I tried asking the guy again if my order was missed. He completely ignored me, so I walked over and asked for a refund because, at that point, I had no more time left to eat and needed to leave to make my appointment on time. I understand being busy, but he had no interest in listening and wasted 45 minutes of my time. All this said, I have been to many other Pita Inn locations, and this one is my least favorite. Had I not been in the area, I probably wouldn't have stopped. The layout in the waiting area is awful. The drink area is always blocked by people waiting for their orders, making it very difficult to navigate, and, if I'm being completely honest, the staff here is probably the least friendly of all the locations I've been to. This place is exceptional!!! Pita Inn as a brand is generally outstanding and the high quality of food consistent among the Pita Inn restaurants in this area. This location however stands head and shoulders above all restaurants for several reasons.. No matter what menu items you choose- they are consistently delivered steaming hot, exactly as requested, and in the quickest most efficient manner. The graciousness of the staff, their attention to detail, and prompt, high quality individualized customer responsiveness makes them world class ambassadors of service and speaks volumes about their characters. It is also a clear reflection and witness to the exceptional Leadership provided by Maher, the General Manager, who models, encourages, and personally exemplifies such outstanding commitment to ensuring every customer ( dine - in or take-out) has the greatest possible experience. For the absolute 'Best' in Middle Eastern cuisine , and unmatched customer service ( shout out to Ernesta who does an especially great job!)- pita Inn on Milwaukee avenue is #1!!!
