Wow. Just wow! I haven't been inside the recently and I was shocked by my visit here last week. Usually we just go to Target which has its own entrance. This time around I was in to buy Christmas gifts with my kids and we needed to go inside the mall itself.
Once upon a time I would go out the side entrance of Target (across from Kohls and VCF) and go through Sears. However now that Sears is closed down they don't provide direct access to the mall. Really? Traipsed around Kohl's trying to get out on the east side to get to the food court but no east side entrance.
Finally make it as far as the food court entrance. Well, half a food court. There used to be twice as many places to eat. Now they got an Ulta taking up half the former food court. Every second store (or more), on the way to our destination is closed down. The girl in the store we visited did direct us to a doorway that is not intended for the public that got us out at a closer point to VCF and we got back in through there.
Yes, I get it, Sears was their anchor store but Sears has been dying slowly for over 20 years, never mind the mess that the idiot Lampert created. If you didn't know that the Sears store in your mall was bound to close in the near future you are an idiot. And if you do still have people coming to the mall, don't make it an almighty trek to get from one part of the mall to the other. If it wasn't for the fact that this was Christmas Eve and we had some gifts to pick up then it would have been Adios...
Read moreThis mall used to be fantastic. Sears is no longer there and the small store that were there are disappearing which this mall is becoming a ghost town not sure why, there is Kohls, Target and JCPenneys all good stores Bath works is nice and they have a Sports card shop that is great. Not to mention the AMC Movie Theater which is one of the nicer Theaters the seating is very nice and really clean. You have Shop & Save food store and GFS Foods and X sports fitness around the mall. Not sure if the mall owners are charging to much for the store space, and the food court has shrunk. It was a very nice mall but if something does not change it...
Read moreI understand how people may not be content with service they had at some of the restaurants here. HOWEVER, what I find to be more depressing about here is something else. One thing is the Wal-Mart (I already posted a review on that before). Another thing about this mall altogether is that there is not enough parking even when stores don't have many customers. Although this is better than Old Orchard and another mall near that, this parking lot is still horribly inadequate. Entering and exiting is so hard that this is one of the messiest I have ever seen. This is a one (and exactly 1) whole star rating...
