Ordered UberEats delivery. Was looking for a new Mexican restaurant to try. They had an offer buy one, get one chicken burritos. It was very good, but the smallest burrito I’ve ever received, glad I got one for free or I’m not sure it would have been worth it, so much extra tortilla and not a ton of chicken. I also ordered two taco dinners, one steak, one barbacoa, one with flour tortillas, one with corn. Flour was good, very thin which was nice, but the corn tortillas were slightly disappointing. Both meats were a little on the dry side. The barbacoa didn’t have much flavor to speak of and the steak had slightly more flavor surprisingly. Luckily they gave plenty of sauce, the green sauce was delicious, red sauce just ok, both were spicy, no mild options here. With the taco dinners I ordered the rice and beans, they tasted fine, pretty standard, but I was surprised how little a portion they gave, literally like a spoonful of each. I ordered a side of guacamole as well, and wow, no bueno!! I don’t like tomatoes in my guac, most restaurants will make it without if asked, no such option here. It was clearly not made to order as it tasted stale like it had been sitting out for a while. Chains like Tacos El Norte and Chipotle make their guac ahead of time as well, but there is no comparison to even those places. It was very disappointing, I ended up tossing most of it away. Lastly I tried their churros, not sure why I assumed you would get two in an order, but I was pretty surprised that you only got one for $4.81. In all fairness, I’m really not sure what the standard price of a churro is since it’s not something I order often. If you order more than $20 online they also give you a free lemonade, nice, but wasn’t my favorite, typical artificial flavor. All in all the food was tasty but some of the portions were disappointing for the price. I would probably eat here again but it wouldn’t be a go to spot or something I would necessarily recommend. I almost feel badly giving them 3 stars… with some adjustments I think this place has potential but until then, I think the rating is fair.

I’ve been to Taco Pros a few times now, and honestly, it’s just… okay. Not bad, not amazing—just okay. I will say their queso is actually really good, and their salsa has a nice kick to it, which I appreciate. But other than that, I’ve tried their tacos, burritos, and enchiladas, and they’re all kind of… meh. Nothing stands out, but it’s definitely not bad either. The service here is always amazing, though. Super friendly and quick, which is a big plus. The atmosphere is nice too—clean, bright, and there’s a decent amount of seating. They’ve got multiple locations, so it’s pretty convenient if you’re looking for a quick bite, especially if you’re vegetarian. If there’s nothing else around, it’s a decent option. It’s not the worst, but it’s also nothing to get too excited about.

Loved the $1 taco opening deal. It was limited to 2 tacos max. As you can see from my photo they are generous with the meat portions. I ended up making 4 tacos just so I could try them made different ways. Some with sauce or lime, or as is. The portions were just right for me! The steak taco was slightly dryer than I wanted but was fine with sauce. The house special meat taco was not for me. It was like slow pulled pork that was too mushy and the sauce on it was not my type of seasoning. The tacos did come out pretty fast and were piping hot. Good service at the counter and I liked the music. Only a 4 due to the two tacos I chose weren’t the best, but I can imagine the other options are worth the try. Also with the $1 taco (limited deal) was worth the try.

OK so first off I gave 5 stars for "atmosphere" even though we had our order delivered. I don't wish to come off as being negative after having such a fabulous dinner from a new restaurant.

My wife and I used to frequent a place in Mount Prospect back in the 90's which we really loved to dine at. Unfortunately that establishment closed and I hadn't had really good Mexican food in some time. My wife is getting a chance to watch her hometown Minnesota Vikings on TV tonight so I told her to relax and take the night off and to choose whatever she wanted for dinner. She found Taco Pros.

She ordered a Steak Burrito and ate half of it, saving the other half to take to work tomorrow. It was a pretty good sized Burritos. I chose the Taco Dinner which came with Rice.

My initial thought was that this place was a bit pricey... $15 for a 3 Taco Dinner? But it was exellent! The ground beef was plenty enough inside some terrific soft tortillas with fresh tomato, lettuce and cheese and the rice was tender and flavorful. The meal itself was so good that in my mind it was well worth the cost and I will certainly order it again. My wife loved her Burrito as well.

I'd recommend Taco Pro's to anybody looking to enjoy Mexican food. It was...

When I walked in, there was one couple in front of me. They ordered, sat down, and their food was delivered to their table in under 5 minutes.

I ordered a burrito to go. I sat there waiting and waiting and waiting. The only person in the place to not have food. I asked and was told it would be out soon. Another customer came in and ordered food to go and got it 2 minutes later.

I go up and complain, now at 25 minutes, and they discover my food on the counter sitting there. The cashier apologizes and hands me the bag. I asked for it to be remade since it has now been sitting there for likely 20 plus minutes.

She walks into the back and comes out 2 minutes later with the same bag. I could see into the kitchen. I could see they did not remake it.

I can tell when a burrito has been sitting out for 20 minutes and my first bite is ice cold.

Had it been busy, maybe i could understand but 1 customer without food in a restaurant along with not remaking their food to give them a fresh hot meal.

A...
