My family ( party of three), visited the Tiki Terrace for my husband birthday. We really enjoyed the entertainment, So Ono!” The nani wahines definitely know how to shake it💃 #coconutcoconut The cultural music was so uplifting and positively spirited. While watching the show, during the intermission, they did birthday and anniversary shout-outs, How cool and thoughtful. In addition, guests ( the birthday folks) were invited on stage to try out the Hawaiian dance ( my husband mixed his fruit bowl well, he wasn't shy at all, lol). Lastly, I love how they took us around Hawaii by showing us different dance moves common to each area, such as,
FOOD! Hmmmmm... let's just say, if you're in for bold flavor, the Tiki Terrace is not the place. We ordered Taro Chips ( cut thin with a robust salty taste), Egg Rolls Bora Bora ( thin and crispy encased pork with veggies, light in flavor), and Komo Hana Calamari ( our fave, soooo, ono-licious!) Although the Calamari did not have much flavor, the texture was perfect; tender and easy to chew. We enjoyed the sweet & spicy dipping sauce, Yum Yum! As for the dinner included with the show, we were given Kalua Pork ( tender and light in flavor, non salty), meat ball skewers ( plump and partially sweet, dark chicken halfs covered in a sweet barbecue sauce ( if it wasn't for the sauce, particularly flavorless), Mac Salad ( which reminds of the traditional macaroni salad you can find at a family cookout or tailgating party). In a nutshell, the food was decent, yet lacks flavor. I'd say, the food is great for someone who is trying to watch their sodium intake. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, the birthday dessert ( A crispy shell, stuffed with smooth ice cream, and toppled with moist mango sauce, soooooo... delightful). The dessert was presented in a fancy manner and taste as good as it looks.
LIQUOR! My husband and I both had the original Mai Tai, hands up for our waitress Christina ♥️ She said, we were making a great choice when we decided to order a Mai Tai. The drinks were tasty and a sure hit for us. The original Mai Tai will enlighten your taste buds, starting with a tarty & sweet appeal, transitioning into a welcoming alcoholic taste. The sweetest deal, without the syrupy taste.
DECOR! Beautiful set up! The Tiki Terrace decor and ambiance will totally have you engrossed in the culture. I love the stoned head sculptures and presence of bright flowers - sexy...
Read moreThe place is really small inside, the interior decor was nice... We sat at a nice angle from the stage so we were able to see the performance clearly....
But this was not worth the money $49.50 is stated to pay for a 3 course meal & the performance, the 3 course meal entailed a small salad, I had grill salmon for my entree & chocolate lava cake..... The entrees were very limited to either pork shoulder, coconut chicken, a burger or salmon.... The drinks, appetizers & any dessert outside of the mousse pudding is a additional charge..... It was 7 people in my party & we each spent $100-140 each which wasn't a issue really had we not been charged $20 each for gratuity.... The service rendered did not deserve gratuity at all, we were last to be served our food, last to be rung out when it was time to go, when asking for silverware to eat with or more napkins, we had to ask multiple times just to be told that we had to wait on our server 🤦🏾♀️ every time I looked up our server was servicing everyone but us.
The show seemed really short, because they did more talking & explaining the culture than they actually danced. They gave shout-outs to all of the birthday guests & my name was even last with that.
As everyone got up to leave, my party was still seated waiting to pay our tabs because like I stated earlier in this review we were the last table to be serviced... As the servers came scurrying with their plastic grocery bags cleaning up around us, we had to ask multiple times for to-go trays because while everyone else had the opportunity to enjoy their meals we didn't get ours until after 8:30p which is ridiculous because we were on time for the reservation 🤷🏾♀️
Side note: When you book your reservation please make sure that all guest are in attendance..... After I talked to the restaurant & booked my reservation, they put a hold on my credit card for the reservation, then sent me a text message stating that there will be a $10 charge for each empty seat.... I personally feel like that was something that should have been discussed when they had me on the phone. People changing their minds & not coming should not be a penalty towards the customers as much as you are...

This is the closest to being in the islands that you can get without leaving the chicagoland area. We had our reservation which you can start by visiting their website. We got ther We at 4pm. The service staff is extremly polite and kind! You are automatically served water when you sit down. You are given 2 menus, one with appetizers and package options, the other one has their drinks listed. You automatically get the aloha dinner which is pulled pork, meatballs, and a bbq chicken. We opted for the couples package which included a lai for each person, and the following menu options (this is in addition to th aloha dinner). You get to choose either potstickers or pork eggrolls and taro chips. Having had taro many tines i had never had taro chips before, i was pleasantly surprised they were great and included a mango type salsa. For the drinks, our package included 2 drinks frim the drinks menu, plus another regillable sotdrink or tea as well. I got the original mai tai which was not too sweet and had a perfect taste. My girlfriend got the tiki mai tai which was a little bit sweeter and was good. We added an additional appetizer and got the coconut chicken sliders, you need to order these, they are delicious. The dinner is served family style on a bed of rice. Everything was delicious. When the show started it was around 5:15, and it was fun and interactive! You are transformed into a tour of the islands ranging from Hawaii, to Easter Island, to Fiji. The dancers change into different costumes based on what island is being represented. Since we were going there for my birthday i got called up on stage to learn a dance with a few other people that wss fun! This is a very entertaining place to visit, and very nicely decorated. When we were done and walking out it was about 6:15pm. I cant thank our kind server enough she was very pleasant and friendly and helpful by suggesting items that were her favorite. Over all i rate my experience a 20/10 and will...
