Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Maize

I have never had a bad experience at this location. Crossing my fingers and hoping I never do.

This Dairy Queen puts all others to shame in Kansas. Not because of the food but because of the friendly employees and atmosphere. It is the most up to date DQ I have been to and it almost feels like I am walking into a new dining area or living room.

Im always greeted and feel like a valued customer.

The restaurant is always clean and well lit.

On a side note:

In 2006 I was in the West Side Mall and bought an Orange Julius signature drink. I couldn't get enough. I kept coming back for months. Then something happened. The OJ recipe changed or simply became watered down. It wasn't the same anymore... It tasted like watered down OJ.

I tried the East side mall food court in hopes I could rekindle the burst of flavor that I once tasted years ago. No dice, same horrible taste. I don't know what happened but Orange Julius hasn't taste the same since... If someone from corporate or a West Coast Orange Julius could correct it I would be so thankful. Until then I wont come back to Orange...

I have to say, today was a great day to be at Dairy Queen. I was running behind, and did a DoorDash Pickup. The crew there, Lisi, Jordan, Mary, Angel (I did my best to get all their names and spelling correct), they went WAAYY above and beyond. They will DEFINITELY be the reason I come back . I was more than an hour late. They had already thrown out my food (understandably so, since you have to maintain standards of quality, and that's unsafe), so without skipping a beat, the manager just made a whole new order. Wasn't mad, wasn't upset, or at lease he did a wonderful job of hiding it. The whole crew did a wonderful job of hiding the clear frustration I would have had if it would have been me running that lunch rush (I have been there.) As I stated before, we WILL BE BACK!!! Only now, there will be more referrals, and we will be sure to try way more products and even get that ice cream cake my son has been begging for. Thank you all again for saving our lunch plans!!! My boyfriend and I were super excited to get Dairy Queen but the experience was absolutely awful. We went through the drive thru and the girl taking our order (around 7:15 pm) seemed very ditsy and her customer service was bad and unprofessional. We left the drive thru and my boyfriend’s Blizzard order was incorrect, and my Orange Julius was watered down. We turned around and when we went back through the drive thru and she seemed confused when he explained to her what happened. We gave her our drinks to replace and she gave back my boyfriends correct order and mine was incorrect (she gave me an Oreo blizzard). We gave it back and she then asked once one more what I wanted! Not that one person’s business matters, but we will not be returning to this location ever! I encourage everyone to either skip DQ or just go to another location. THIS PLACE SUCKS!! Also- train your people better in customer service! Waste of...
