Paramount Diner — Restaurant in Manasquan

My boyfriend and I went to lunch here today. It was a quiet Sunday morning so there was plenty of room to park and walk around in the shops surrounding the diner. We wanted to find a little hole in the wall place near us! My boyfriend got the “paramountal” breakfast which had a choice of french toast or pancakes with eggs and sausage/bacon. The french toast was so soft and flavorful! It tasted like a cinnamon bun. I got blueberry pancakes with lemon curd. The pancakes were a little bland but the sausage was amazing! It was crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. I also loved the atmosphere of this diner. It had the classic red seating and stools. It was family owned by a nice couple who came and talked to us for a few minutes. The bill was very cheap too for the amount of food we got. If I could rate this establishment a zero I absolutely would have. We barely made it through the door before we were abruptly stopped and told we couldn’t dine with my 6 month old infant. The stroller was considered a fire hazard according to them. I have been to numerous places and have never experienced a thing like this. We were asked to sit outside their patio in 64 degree weather to dine to which we declined. There establishment was completely empty with areas to be accommodated but they refused. We left and stood outside trying to search for a different option when the gentleman at the diner decided to come out and encourage us to sit outside to which I declined again. Went here on 9/6 for lunch with my ole lady. The service was great even though the place was packed. Wait time was normal to get our food and the meal was fantastic. Fast forward to Sunday afternoon, we walk into a cafe in Pt Pleasant and look at the menu and decide to leave and go BACK to Paramount. Arrive and the line is out the door. Talked to the hostess/owner and the wait is only 15min. She texts me when the table is ready and we have another spectacular meal and have declared Paramount Diner our go-to spot when we come to town.
