I am rating this place poorly due to the language barrier and deception. I have ordered multiple times, and often, the order totals up to over $100(without alcohol). The issue I have is the following: When I go in to place an order, I can always get my point across to the individual that comes to the cash register. I am speaking of English. But when I call, they act like they can not understand any English. I have struggled over and over because I know that they speak enough English to take my order as when I arrive in person. Well, the last two times I have called, they say that they can not understand me and just raise their voices, getting louder and louder until they hang up on me. I am not going to go into the obvious of where we live, the official language, etc. because then I will be labeled as a racist hate monger. My problem is with the deception. If they could not understand "soft" and "hard" taco shells, I even used the terms: "duro" and "suave", then they should have an individual who speaks at least broken English answering the phone. Porque entiendo un poco de español. If you are OK with keeping a total Spanish speaking clientele then then that is fine. Just advertise it so we who enjoy your food know to patronize another restaurant in town(by the way, we also patronize El Ray Tolteca and Guapos, and their food is...
Read moreI live very close to this restaurant and so I pass it almost everyday. But my first time eating here just happened to be on Valentine's day. I had just come from another restaurant where I had such a terrible experience with the staff that I ended up not ordering anything and just left.
And so my husband came to Mi Casita as a "last resort". However, that turned out to be such a big blessing in disguise as this is now one of my favorite places. Firstly, when I walked in 3 different friendly ladies attempted to assist me or at least made sure I was being taken care of.
I ordered the costilla de res and my husband got the lomo saltado. Both were excellent. I liked the food and service so much so that we ordered take out again the next day but this time with family.
The sopa de res was very rich though we do wish it had a bit more meat. I took a completely different path and wanted to try their philly cheesesteak. To my surprise, it was actually decent though there was a comedic part where I found a thick slice of cucumber.
The pupusas are also heavenly! My favorite is the revuelta pupusas and though I get full easily I ordered extra just so I could enjoy it again the next day.
This place is a treasure and I'm grateful for the extremely friendly staff and professional management for...
Read moreDO NOT COME TO THIS MI CASITA!!! Coming from me that means a lot because I have been going to eat at the chain since I was 3. But this on in Manassas, It is disgusting. I took my friend Danny to try it for the first time, when we walked in, immediately the waitress was off handed and didn’t have good customer service. The food took forever and the restaurant was empty, it was 9:00pm. I have been to other restaurants the food has never ever taken that long. She finally comes out, and we’re finally starting to eat, and about four bites in, Danny fonds a long hair in his food!! We call the waitress over and explained to her what we find and she smirked as if he should have eaten the food! Whats even worse, is that the owner of the restaurant was sitting right bind us, eating his own food. watching everything that happend!!! Instead of saying anything he mocked us and looked angry, then I had to walk up to him and say something about the service. He lied to me and said that he wasn’t the manager after we watched him come from the back 😂😂😂🤣🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ He looked so stupid lying through his teeth. He then told me that I should talk to one of them. I shook my head at dude and we told the kitchen to find themselves some hairnets. I hope you guys read his bc...
