I was a member at Sam's club for so many years! But unfortunately they closed and I had to switch to BJ's! First of all, no one clipped coupons at Sam's club, because their prices were truly low! But at BJ's you (BJ's) raise the price and force your customers to clip coupons and waste their precious time. Even after using a coupon, your price is even higher than what I used to get from Sam's club without clipping coupons!!! Today 9/08/18, I was shopping at the Manchester, CT location and I saw a box of Mangoes that had 7 Mangoes in the box and on the corner of the box written number 7! So I picked that box with 7 Mangoes since the others contained 6 Mangoes! When I was leaving the store. the woman at the door said to me " you can not take 7 Mangoes, because you only paid for 6 Mangoes! "I replied that the box says 7! But she wasn't going to let this go so I asked for the manager. He told me the same thing; despite the fact the box was labeled 7. I then asked them to refund my money and give me my membership money back too! After they returned my money, they threw all the Mangoes in the garbage! So I replied " so you would rather throw all those mangoes in the garbage rather than letting it go even it was your fault to display them that way!" I had them refund my membership! I am going back to either #Sam'sclub in Newington, CT or #Costco in Enfield, CT even if its a little far but I am sure I will feel more comfortable with honest businesses with reasonable employees.    Read moreThis is the worst location. I went to the deli and arrived at 6:10pm got my number (58). The deli was on number 52. I waited in line and it was 6:55 and my number still had not been called. They had only one employee working. I gave up and left after wasting my time in line. I paid for my strawberries and went to customer service and requested to speak with a manager. This very unprofessional woman strolls over and saysâAre you the one who wanted a managerâ? I said yes and explained the situation. She couldnât care less what I had to say. I asked for her name she said KLAUDIO. I asked her title and she was sassy and said âPERSON IN CHARGEâ. I asked for the store managers name and again her sassy response was âITâS ON YOUR RECEIPT, LOOK AT ITâ and walked away. This is how BJâs treats customers. They allow their employees to miss treat guests and they donât care to do anything about it. Itâs nearly an hour of my time wasted at a wholesale store that robs you for your money and can care two cents if you come back. I canceled my membership. I donât need to be spoken, treated or abused by a store employee who identifies herself as a âPERSON IN CHARGE, named KLAUDIO. Not when I pay to belong to it. Guests were leaving when they knew how long they were going to be waiting at the deli. This is a direct reflection of how upper management operates.    Read moreI really loved shopping here at BJ's Warehouse Club of Manchester, CT with my family always. I'm an long time customer of BJ's since grand opening in October 2007.
At BJ's, we have an awesome selection of groceries, housewares, clothes, books and other selections right here. Its kind like very similar to Costco and Sam's Club (ours located at Pavilion Drive was closed down couple of years ago)
Besides with the selections, we have lots of departments to choose from including bakery, meat/butcher, deli, fruit, electronics, and other parts of departments everywhere at BJ's Warehouse Club.
I have been to this location lots of times and this place is much closer from my hometown (10 minutes away from Vernon) and always very convenience. The parking lot is not always busy because of an much better spot with cars and other vehicles which is very quick. Staff is very nice, knowledgeable and responsible whose rights for an new membership and buying groceries here. Interior looks very huge as well.
P.S. Yesterday, I went shopping here with my grandmother and we bought lots of awesome goodies especially with groceries and we spent more than $285. What an awesome trip ever.
