DO NOT EXPECT GREAT BIRYANI HERE AFTER WATCHING YOUTUBE POPULAR VIDEO OF THIS RESTAURANT.
I had high expectations for this place after watching a YouTube video that hyped it up as the "Best Biryani in America." Unfortunately, it didnât live up to that reputation. Traveling all the way from Massachusetts with my family just to try this biryani, I was left disappointed.
This is my honest review after dining in today. We ordered Naan and Chicken Curry to start. The naan was excellentâauthentically made and worth appreciating. However, the chicken curry was just okay, nothing special.
Then came the much-talked-about "Chicken Dum Ka Biryani," which was heavily promoted by YouTuber Keith Serasin. Honestly, I didnât like it at allâit was extremely dry. It was served with salan and raita, but both were cold, straight from the fridge, which we saw with our own eyes. The salan was basically flavored water with no real taste, while the raita was the only saving grace, making the dry biryani slightly more edible.
The service was disappointing too. We asked for onions and lemon, and the server brought out pre-cut ones that werenât fresh. When I requested fresh ones, she told me they were prepared an hour earlierâdefinitely a red flag. We didnât even bother asking again.
We also ordered the "Special Chicken Biryani," and it was even drier than the Dum Ka Biryani. At that point, we just wanted to leave. The overall ambience wasnât great either.
Please do not fall for the exaggerated hype claiming this is the best biryani in the U.S. It was a complete waste of time and money.
Promotional videos like the one we saw are misleading and do a disservice to people genuinely looking...
Read moreI recently dined as well as take out from the restaurant and ordered the chicken fry and daal goat. I must say, the experience was fantastic. The food was not only delicious but also authentically prepared.
The chicken fry was a standout dish. It had the perfect balance of spices, making it both flavorful and just the right level of spicy. The crispy texture of the chicken was a delightful surprise, and it paired wonderfully with the accompanying dipping sauce.
The daal goat was another highlight of the meal. The flavors were rich and satisfying, and the meat was tender, cooked to perfection. It's clear that the chef takes great care in preparing their dishes.
But it wasn't just the food that left a lasting impression. The people at the restaurant were incredibly welcoming and hospitable. They made the dining experience even more enjoyable with their warm and friendly service. It truly felt like a five-star dining experience, with attentive staff who went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed.
The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant and comfortable, providing a great setting for a delightful meal. Overall, my visit to this restaurant was a memorable one, thanks to the amazing food and the lovely people who work there. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful...
Read moreThis is one of the best places I have eaten in the Manchester area, not just for Indian, but any restaurant. Iâm not Indian so I canât comment on the true authenticity of the food, but everything I ate was absolutely delicious.
I have spent most of my adulthood, for the last 30 years, living in either Palo Alto, San Francisco or NYC. I love Indian food and back in the 90s and 2000s would drive out of my way to visit the best places in the SF Bay Area. I now live part time in NH and just randomly stumbled across Classic Biryani etc. I was thrilled because frankly the food scene in the area is terrible and this place stands above the rest, with the soulfulness and depth of the food.
The cut Mirchi (deep fried peppers) were delicious. The butter chicken was one of the best and most complex Iâve had. The garlic naan was very tasty. But the absolute standout was the goat biryani with saffron. Just insanely delicious. My girlfriend who was nervous about trying goat also loved it. The mango lassi was not too thick and nicely spiced.
I canât wait to go back and try the egg biryani with the mirchi ka salan (jalapeño curry).
If you love Indian food or just want to eat lovingly made food with soul, run to this restaurant. It doesnât have a fancy interior and is not in a stylish location, but is...
