So today, a few friends of mine and I went to grab some quick dinner before a movie. We get into the restaurant (typical pizza joint; cute inside, nice tables, clean, etc). We choose our food and order. I decide to have a choose-your-own calzone (Calzette) and I order Chicken, Mushroom, Onion and Cheese, one friend chooses the Lasagna, and my other friends order a large pizza to share. When the food arrives, I notice that my calzone was Chicken Parmesan, which was not what I ordered at all, the lasagne was cold in the middle, the large pizza came out as a small, and we were missing an order of Ugli sticks. My friends are picky-eaters and we tell our server that our order is wrong and needs fixing. I myself kept my calzone and ate it because I didn't want to make a scene (I actually enjoyed it, however it was not what I had ordered whatsoever). The food itself was very good, however the experience overall was negative. I am not the type of person to yell or blame, but anyone would be angry if their entire order for the table was wrong. Because we were on a time-constraint, it was very annoying that our orders were wrong, since we would have liked to have a simple, no-stress meal before going out to the movie (which we...
Read moreI've ordered takeout three times and had problems every time.
First time: quoted a price $14 higher than it should be. Had to call back, wait on hold, and ask why -- they'd added a large cheese pizza I didn't ask for to my order.
Second time: $10 higher. Caught it before they hung up. Same thing, random small cheese pizza added. Your point of sale is a POS.
Third time: accused of stealing an employee's phone. Got called twice after eating, the first time asking if I had it (no, but I searched my house and my car in case I somehow grabbed it accidentally) and the second time saying they knew I had it because I was on the security tapes, and demanding I bring it back or they'd call the police. Cool. I drove back, said I wanted them to look at my face and tell me they had the right person, and very quickly got an apology -- guess it was the guy ahead of me in line. IMO this is something you should be sure about before you start making accusations.
If you still want to roll the dice, calzones are pretty good: avoid watery veggies and the Italian sausage is a standout. Steak sandwich needs way more seasoning and options like mayo or pepper relish. I think I'll stick to other...
Read moreThis is my first time there since they've been bought out and changed their menu. I don't say this lightly, but this is absolutely the worse food I have ever had in my life. My son and I got the spaghetti and meatballs thinking it was like the way they use to make it. Instead it was some baked pasta with way too much cheese, horrible dried out meatballs that tasted horrendous, and the sauce, I can't even explain just how bad the sauce was. It had some weird before and after taste that words just can't describe it. It was like you could actually taste it while breathing in and the after taste just lingered. I took 3 bites and that was all I could handle. My fiance tries it because she didn't believe. The look on her face after one bite said it all. The service was OK even though when 9ne of the kids asked for a side the guy made it seem like it didn't come with that side and we'd have to do a substitution even though the menu clearly said what the optional sides were. The atmosphere was the most sterile look I've seen in a restaurant. It use to be a nice friendly atmosphere but now everything is just painted bright white. Felt like being in a hospital room, but even less...
