Eh, where to begin....well, the McDonald's chains of recent years have been in a slow decline and their current state is, well, very sub par.
For context, I go through McDonald's drive-thrus when my teenager asks, usually when we're busy and running around for appointments.
The staff of McDonald's all seem to be very much the same, which (in my opinion) seem to be several things, including lacking in the personality required for a customer service job, and happy. I've not yet been served by a smiling, pleasant employee. They don't make eye contact. It's more of a "That'll be twenty dollars" and then a "Here's your order", followed by the glass serving window being quickly shut and the staff walking away. So if you're missing straws, napkins, or a part or your order, you're left sitting at the drive-thru window until they return.
As far as the food, it has certainly shrunk! I try to avoid McDonald's if I can because you don't get a lot for what they charge.
At this particular McDonald's, though, our specific "issue" with our large order was that one of the kids in our vehicle bordered a Sprite. We were handed a cup of a very clear liquid (like water with ice), filled only about three quarters of the way. It wasn't bubbly as you'd expect a Sprite to be. She tasted it and was immediately disgusted. She said it tasted like pure seltzer, that carbonation flavor, but NOT like Sprite. When I brought this to the employee's attention, they seemed they they didn't care one way or the other, but they went to get another one. The employee returned to say that the Sprite machine was "out of syrup", so to choose another flavor. I'm not sure how they didn't know this if they kept their machines properly, but they handed us a medium that wasn't filled to the top like the other three were, that wasn't bubbly, and that CLEARLY did not have the appearance of Sprite. This one thing makes me wonder what else isn't kept up to standards, and we're talking food, so this shouldn't be a question. We spent a lot of money with this visit.
I can't speak on the inside because we went through the drive-thru. It appeared clean from my view. The parking lot was large, but empty.
I really can't say this is higher than a 3 star establishment because there was nothing there to make them stand out, or better than the next. They're really all the same from what I've seen thus far. Often it's the ice cream machines being down for a variety of reasons, which this seems to be a trend at...

The management and customer service here is absolutely terrible! I've already filed a complaint with the BBB and plan on taking this to social media and consumer affairs. Ordered 2 cheese burgers, 1 fry and 2 small caramel frappes and had to wait over 20 minutes to get my order. I live right up the street so my family of 10+ comes here often, usually to get the MCC discount. After screwing up our order and making us wait for 10 minutes the customer service rep brings out a milkshake. We let her know that we ordered 2 caramel frappes and she stood there so confused and asked about 3x, so you ordered 2 caramel frappes? 10 minutes later she comes out with the frappes and asks us to see our receipt before handing them to us. We showed her the reciept and she said it was her manager who made her do it, but she knew that we weren't lying. We then called the manager to ask her why she would have her employee view our receipt in the first place since we had JUST ordered through her! And why would we wait 20 minutes for a small order and not have a receipt on hand? The manager denied asking her employee to view the receipt and never apologized once! She just remained silent, and didn't even apologize for the wait, nothing at all. Will never be coming back to this location. They always mess up orders, are very rude and the management is terrible! Will be traveling to Glastonbury, CT from now where they actually give great customer service! Saddest part is I've been coming to this location since they opened and they have NEVER improved!!!...
Read more(Update at bottom) Waited in line for 45 minutes including paying at the window. Waiting again at the food window for them to say “we don’t have any food”. Meanwhile I’m watching their truck leave because he’s unloaded. Refused to offer refund or managers name, and stole $18 from me. I ordered 3 burgers and 2 fries, and got nothing. They said to refund on the app but they already accepted AND put the food as picked up so the cancel option wasn’t available. I sat there until they implied the police were coming, still refusing to refund me the money. I was also told “what you would like to replace your meal with” and then was told “we don’t have anything” when I said a different burger. This incident will be reported to authorities and corporate. Vanessa was a worker who offered for us to call back the next morning to speak to a new manager. I will update accordingly
Morning Manager Rosa gave us a call directly to let us know that a refund would be available in store. The night manager who told us to leave and refused a refund will be punished accordingly and wasn’t supposed to let us leave without a refund, according to Rosa.
