A friend recommended this restaurant to us a few years ago and we finally made it around to stopping a few weeks ago. This was our first dinning out experience this year and we partly selected this Mexican restaurant due to our friend but also the option of outdoor seating. The food was fantastic! My only complaint is the busy intersection. If you choose to sit outside, which I would still do all over again, the street was loud with motorcycles and cars. We were there on a Saturday a little ahead of dinner time. I'm guessing traffic might slow down during certain days and times but I don't live in the area to really know.
On to the food! The chips and salsa were very good. The salsa has a slight bite, which we loved and our kids had no problem eating some. It was very flavorful. We had several dishes: enchiladas, chimichangas, tortilla soup, side of rice and beans. We were very happy with it all! My daughter loved the soup, which I admit was awesome. It was caulked full of veggies, some chicken, rice, tortillas and a delicious broth. I think there was a dab of queso, which brought it all together. I enjoyed my one chicken and one beef chimichangas. They were smaller than I expected but they filled me right up. This is usually my "go to" dish and it exceeded my expectations compared to any other Mexican restaurant I've eaten at in New Hampshire. I'm not a big fan of enchiladas but the rest of my family seemed to enjoy them. I tasted the enchilada sauce and it was good. Although a little on the salty side, the rice and beans are very flavorful and we're enjoyed by all. There were no leftovers at this table and...
Read moreDriving home from work, our usual "to go" restaurant had an over 45 minute wait, so I decided to try Mi jalisco. I placed the order and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I thought that was fast, and it was. Almost 30 minutes later, it was ready, which would have been ok if it was close to what I was told because I could have picked up what I needed from the grocery store while I waited. And if the food was good, the extended wait would have been worth it. But it wasn't. How do you ruin nachos??? By serving stale tortilla chips, not having pico de gallo or some sort of salsa, and by adding a cheese that tasted like a cheap version of white Kraft singles. Bland and stale. Even the little brown bag with tortillas were stale. Soft tacos were so greasy, the grease leaked onto the soft tortillas. So many Mexican eateries have popped up all over this area, that there are much better ones to chose from. The wait staff did apologize for the wait and the margaritas they were serving looked good, but this take out experience was just bad. NOTE: my daughter ate 1 of 3 tacos. The other 2 sat uneaten until thrown out. That speaks volumes about the taste considering she is taco obsessed and we have them at least twice a week for lunch or dinner. I tried my burrito the next day. The ground beef had a very odd taste. I can't even describe it because I have never had anything that tastes like it did. Definitely not even worth another try. YUCK,...
Read moreThe place is understaffed and the staff is overworked. be prepared for long waits for service. what little of the menu we were able to sample was encouraging. would have been nice to try entree's. the cheese sauce is amazing, and the cheese fry's are out of this world. the sampler left much to be desired. chicken wings overcooked and dry, jalapeno poppers undercooked. the flavorless chicken wraps go well with the samplers cheese sauce. we were excited to try a new Mexican restaurant. there were a number of things we wanted try on the menu. things were looking good as the hostess seated us as soon as we walked in. a busboy immediately dropped off chips and salsa. we reviewed the menu, made our selections, and waited. we waited some more and were debating leaving when our harried looking waitress appeared. took our drink and appetizer order and scurried off. we didn't see her again till several minutes after finishing our appetizers, still staring at our empty cups, and flagged down the hostess to get us the tab. a few minutes later our waitress appeared with the bill. hopefully they find staff, id like try this place...
