Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Manchester

This is not the first time I order from Papa John's and usually it's a good experience except a couple times by food has come not as hot as I would anticipated but not a big deal to me but the last time I ordered from here I ordered about 12- 12:30 a.m. and I got delivery and I asked the guy who answered the phone to tell the delivery driver to please do not knock on the door it is late and I have other people in the apartment that are sleeping including my sick parents who are sleeping and have a hard time sleeping at night. Guy on the phone said yep sure not a problem they will call you when they get there. They show up and what do they do they knock on the door after I had said to them please call when they arrive do not knock on the door. At this point I'm very upset in tears crying because I did not want my parents or anyone else to be woken up and I call back to talk to a "manager" and it's not his problem doesn't seem like he cared at all but he said I will have my "general manager" call you first thing in the morning, now here we are days later and still have not got a phone call to apologize about the situation that had occurred nothing and to top it all off the person who delivered my food close my hallway door all the way so I was locked out of my apartment and cannot get back in for hours. I usually don't do reviews whether it's good reviews or bad reviews I just don't do them but in this case I felt like I had to do one because I have not got a phone call back from nobody at Papa John's. So I'm very disappointed especially with a manager knowing how upset I was about...

Was with my daughter and she wanted a stuffed crust pizza with extra cheese. Also got i forgot name but italian calzones and boneless chicken. It was busy with phone orders and only 1 very nice woman was working and a delivery woman was there. The woman inside asked if i would be able to wait one min while she finished getting a pizza made i said no problem. She came over was extremely nice and proffesional. She took my daughters and mine order and said would be aprox 20 mins. We paid and i actually watched her making order and was impressed. She was extremely nice asking if i wanted sauce for calzone and chicken. I did not need but my daughter asked me if we get extra garlic dipping sauce. She gave me that sauce for calzone and put in pizza box. Knowing thru conversation she gave me some paper plates and napkins and a small box to put some of the food in for our 90 mile drive. Everything was perfect and i was impressed with her ability to make cook and take orders in person and over phone. She was even nice when one of the grub hub drivers or one of those online delivery service drivers showed up parked infront of store in fire lane while i was the only other car in parking lot. She said they do it all the time. I told the guy is he that lazy he cant park 10 feet away in an actual parking spot while picking up an order. Watched him have to make a 4 point turn and realized his driving is a reason why he had to park...

I ordered a take out pizza this past Sunday PM. Mathieu Lafontaine offered to bring it to my car that was parked out front when it was ready. So nice!!

He brought it out with a smile. I got out of the car to set the box on my passenger seat.

Unnoticed by me, my 5 lb Yorkie slipped out of my open car door and followed him into the building. I drove away, eyes on the road, thinking my BFF was in his doggie car seat.

Maybe 10 minutes later, I got a message on my cell thru FB messenger notifying me he had my dog & that he was being kept safe.

I was shocked to now see my beloved companion was missing!

When I got back there, overjoyed to get my pup, I asked how he figured out how to contact me. He said he got my name from the credit slip and remembered I mentioned the town where I lived...so he did a FB search & hoped he was right!

So simple but so brilliant! I’m not sure what I would have thought (or known what to do) if I had gotten all the way home without my dog!

I’m so SO GRATEFUL to Mathieu! He’s a bona fide HERO!!! Anything could have happened to my pup...gotten hit by a car or stolen! had he not done the right thing ever step of the way! Kudos to you!

My cheese stuffed crust pizza with spinach was great too! I’ll definitely go back...
