The Rugged Axe — Restaurant in Manchester

On Thursday 4/11/2024, it was my turn to come up with an idea for girls night out. I was talking to a colleague at work and then looked up the Rugged Axe on line, it was easy to maneuver the website and to book the time slot. I am so happy that I did, surprised my friend with this activity, neither of us had ever been axe throwing. We had a mini class that walked us through the different way to throw and safety precautions as well. We had a blast and will definitely be going back again. The establishment is very clean, the business itself is family owned and operated and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. Great time, you have your own lane to throw in, and they even have axes that are lighter in weight. Their is a bar that offers snacks. This place is AWESOME! It’s a cute family-run business and the family is INCREDIBLE. We came in with a big group and they took the time to make sure every single one of us sticks the axe in the wall. As a first time axe thrower, I definitely was anxious before going in. This was the PERFECT place to learn how to throw. And by the end of it, I was sticking almost every throw and even got a couple of bullseye and the 10 points throw! The family was so welcoming and I cannot say enough good things. Charles, Melinda and Madeline are all so friendly and supportive. I feel like I came out with three new friends! Our wedding party decided to do something fun as a group before the wedding and decided to spend the evening throwing axes. Melinda, Charles, and Madeline were incredibly welcoming from showing us around their environmentally friendly and locally-sourced furnished facility to making sure we had our techniques down and getting the axes to stick on the boards. It's a great place to hang out with friends and families and they also have a private event room available for booking for special or corporate events.
