I am not a fan of overcharging!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been going here for a long long time, and prices have been going up, portions are small but food is good but not worth what they are charging and after my last visit i will never be going back. I typically order only and that works best for me. for some reason when i went to order today online it says i cant pickup till tomorrow so i called to see if they were open and they were so i ordered via phone, i got a taco sampler platter and pastor quesadilla and they tried to pull a fast one on me, it typically only cost less than 30 dollars and that is still expensive for the amount of food you get. they tried to charge me 36 dollars for 2 meals and after talking with them, they even had me talk to some manager on the phone and they are telling me prices that are different than what the order online menu from their site says. then all of a sudden they charge me 27 plus tax which was 29 dollars and some change. still expensive for such small dishes. This type of the beans are in a small little plastic container that is about the size if you ordered a side a blue cheese with buffalo wings and tiny scoop of rice, like 2 or 3 bites. So on the website it says its 12 dollars for a quesadilla plus 1 dollar to add meat. they were telling me its like 15 or 16 dollars. then the taco sampler is 15 dollars even though last time i ordered it was less so even at that price before tax it is 28 dollars. prepared food tax is 8.5% 28+8.5% is 30.38 and that is a lot for a taco plate(4 tiny tacos and very small portion of rice and beans) and quesadilla with the same small portion of rice and beans but lot less than 36 even. I will not be coming back here Manchester has lots of great Spanish food for a lot less. I could have fine dining for less. IDK what was going on but no one spoke English and took up a lot of my time and i have never argued about food price ever but i had to draw the line somewhere as i was getting over charged and they were holding credit card till i told them to give it back. she kept smashing my card on the counter to make noise while i showed here the online menu on there site and they were telling me its changed a long time ago, no i ordered here just the other day and that menu is how you order online and prices were accurate. if you do buy food from here, its good but service is sub par but order online only so you can see what you are paying and dont have a surprise when...
Read moreJune.28,2019 When I arrived it had all the authentic smells.. Growing up I lived so close to Mexico, that back in the 80s it was safe to visit. We would go to Juarez Mexico every Saturday afternoon to fill prescription, do a little shopping, and of course eat some yummy food. When I walked in, I got excited, it smelled like home. Service was great and friendly. However the food wasn't quite what I hoped it would be. I ordered the Taco Combination plate. My whole plate looked and smelled amazing, that's when I learned that looks and smells can be deceiving. All the tacos (chicken, pork, beef, and La Pastor) so salty. I couldn't taste the meat or the seasonings. The beef had hard and dry shreads (similar to jerkey strips) and some juicy shreads, which tells me they mixed old beef with new beef. My pork taco, pork was dry and chewy and again very salty. The other 2 meats kind of wet but again salty. I also have never had a taco that came with 2 soft corn tortillas. Each taco had 2 corn tortillas (warmed over a hot pan). My plate also came with beans and rice. Rice was cooked but very dry with a little tomato sauce for color.. The beans, well they were beans. Nothing special, taste like beans right out of a can (Ranch style). Yes I was expecting a little more flare maybe with some onions, jalapenos, garlic, and maybe a little chopped beef ... now for the good... I also ordered an order of chicken empanadas (3) they were good... Crust was nice and flakey and golden brown however the meat was moist (wet) and again salty but if you dip it into sour cream and salsa it covers the salt😁... If you go here, don't have high expectations only because it smells and looks authentic and the employees (owners?) Speak Spanish, doesn't mean they are authentic)...
Read moreLove them! Where to begin? The food is top notch. I’m such a birria lover and they don’t disappoint. I always say I’m going to get something else, but I keep coming back for their birria tacos w/ queso. Divine. But I did once get their carne asada tacos and those were great as well!
Also have to give a big round of applause for some of the best empanadas I’ve ever had. All of them are excellent, but my favorite are the chicken. Let me tell you, I’m not even a big fan of chicken in general, but these are delicious. I was talking to one of the (extremely kind) ladies who works there about them, and it’s shredded thigh meat, so moist, tender, and loaded with seasoning, just exceptional.
And the people who work there are just beyond friendly. So kind, welcoming, always a have a smile on their faces. Today when I went there, the extremely sweet woman chatted with me and offered me coffee, chips and salsa while I waited and it was just the most pleasant experience. Seriously, this is the type of small business we need to support and exactly why I don’t often go to chains. Real people who care about a genuine connection with their community.
This is my go-to taco spot. I’m still exploring the menu, but come on, that’s the best task I’ve had in ages. I’m delighted they’re only 5 or 6 minutes away from me, too. My bank account probably won’t be, but...
