I have to say first that I do love this place, I have been here many, many times, but my experience today was so unexpected and made me so upset that I feel that it needs to be addressed. I am a single person, I go everywhere mostly on my own. I had no idea I would walk into this restaurant and be ostracized for it. The Breakfast Club is a small restaurant and it gets very busy, because it is a great place. I understand that the rule for single people is to sit at the bar. However, when I went in this morning, I was waiting in line for awhile, like a lot of people and the waitresses sat a group of 3 and a group of 2 at the bar. They told me I was not allowed to sit at a table because I am by myself. So I had to wait even longer because I was on my own. People behind me were getting tables because they had more than just one person. While I understand this, why let groups also sit at the bar? This is the part that doesn't make sense to me. The waitress said, in front of everyone, "we make single people wait" and so I felt extremely uncomfortable and sad. I was about to cry and just leave, but the people behind me felt bad and told me I could sit with them at their table. The point I am trying to make is that if you are going to have a rule about single people coming to your restaurant, then hold the bar for only single people, or at least if a single person is waiting, don't sit a group at the bar and then tell the single person they can't have a table. Thank God for the couple that let me join them today. As a single person, this was one of the most upsetting experiences at...
Read moreWe had an unforgettable breakfast experience at The Breakfast Club Manchester. Everything from the warm atmosphere to the fantastic food made for a perfect start to our day.
Let’s start with the Chorizo Skillet — WOW. It came piping hot in a skillet-shaped dish, loaded with seasoned potatoes, perfectly cooked chorizo, sautéed peppers and onions, and topped with beautifully runny eggs and a blanket of rich, creamy cheese sauce. It was hearty, flavorful, and hit every savory note you'd want in a breakfast dish. The side of fresh pico added the perfect tangy brightness. Easily one of the best breakfast skillets I've ever had.
For the kids, we ordered the chocolate chip pancake and the plain pancake — both were a hit. Soft, fluffy, and served with a generous scoop of melty butter, they looked straight out of a commercial. The chocolate chip version had just the right amount of chips to keep it sweet and fun without overloading the dish. And the plain pancake was anything but boring — it had that perfect golden edge and buttery center that speaks to a kitchen that knows its way around a griddle. Both kids devoured their plates and washed them down with some rich, cold chocolate milk that came in cute to-go cups.
The staff were friendly and attentive, and the rustic wooden tables and cozy vibe made it feel like a weekend tradition in the making.

Read moreWent for Father’s Day brunch with our two littles (3 and 1). Small wait was no issue, although there’s zero room to stand anywhere to wait and you have to stay there or they’ll just give up your table to someone standing there since there’s no list. With two littles you’ve got to be ready to go, so we ordered super quick and asked that anything that comes up early to be brought so the kids could get started (and not lose it lol) but they said it will all be out together and since they do so much online takeout it could be a long wait. Ok fine, we waited a while and the kids started to get ancy so we asked for our fruit cup at least to come out but the waitress again refused saying it had to come off the line. I’m sorry, my husband and I have both worked good service. Unless you’re planning to get us grilled blueberries, you can walk to the line and scoop a cup. After 40 minutes, food finally came but it was too long for the kids and we basically had to wrap it up and go - fine - asked for our check and boxes. Waited. Gave the card directly to the server without the receipt so we could gtfo and she continues to walk around and do a bunch of other stuff with our card in her pocket. I can understand any one of these things and we certainly were being patient, but there could have been some critical thinking used and better customer service. Overall I wouldn’t call this kid friendly and we won’t...
