We stopped by here for brunch on a Sunday because we had always heard about Uncle Bill's and finally decided to give it a try. Other reviewers were correct about how congested and awkward the entry/waiting area is. The front of the line is right next to the cashier area and for some reason the cashier kept asking the people how much they wanted to tip out loud (another cashier just had you sign the receipt with a tip). I thought this was quite awkward and unnecessary. The wait wasn't too bad, maybe 10 minutes for a table of 2. I was fond of the layout and the style of the restaurant. The main dining area look like an old fashioned diner split into two rooms by a large fireplace. The area with the skylight/windows seemed like a nice place to have brunch as well. While I can appreciate a breakfast place that offers burgers, I don't believe they are what you want from here. I ordered the cheeseburger and didn't think the quality was worth the price. They have quite a few breakfast options, some of which are pretty unique (andouille sausage). At first the breakfast menu looks to be a bit pricey, but once you see what is included in the meals it almost makes up for it. My wife's eggs were not as runny as she asked for and the biscuits didn't come with sausage gravy. The service was excellent and we will likely be back again at some point. For me, this place did not live up to all of the hype.

A 24 hour breakfast joint... So anytime you want breakfast no matter what time of the day it is.. breakfast is served.. Eggs came as ordered. . The hashbrowns crispy... the waffle big and hot.. and plenty of syrup to add to the already calorie laden meal. .. Chicken was crispy tasty and hot.. and important cooked through but juicy.. Waitress kept the coffee flowing... The lady at the front cashier desk was obviously not having a good planet.. she was more interested in her phone. .. than playing people greeter.. and when we left.. we had to pay at the cashiers desk... boy was she morbid... if I was not in excellent spirits.. I would have sat down next to her and cried in a bucket. . Boy she was depressing... just sucked the positive vibe out of everyone... So food was good ... Waitress was good... but cashier / people greeter.. she really sucked... so bad impression on way in and bad impression on way out... sort of messes up the goodwill in between. . Uncle Bill... please get rid of her... then I will have a cheery breakfast in the afternoon / evening again. ..

Enjoyable first time here. I got the chicken fried chicken w/ scrambled eggs, hash browns, pancakes, and coffee. It was all very good and too much food for me to finish even though I was pretty hungry. My wife got the bacon, eggs, hash browns, and pancakes combo with orange juice and liked it all. The coffee is the biggest disappointment. They brag that it’s extremely fresh – roasted locally and served within 7 days – but the coffee they use (Ronocco) is disgusting. Sure, it’s nice to support a local company, but sourcing beans from a company like Kaldi’s would be an infinitely superior choice. The only other thing that wasn’t great was the bottleneck upon entry. The hostess stand is at the same place as the register, and with social distancing, you have a mess with people waiting to be seated in the same place as people waiting to pay. Overall though, it’s a good diner to get some delicious pancakes and sides.

I dont know how this West County Manchester rd location has 4.3. The only reason I'm giving a 1 * is because the food didn't kill us. When we 1st walked in we were skeptical. The place didn't look clean. The desert display was very dirty. Crumbs and dust inside the glass. I think and hope the deserts were only prompted just to show what deserts they have because the glass case where they are kept is filty and the cakes and pies didn't look eatable or inevitable. My 2 turkey sausages and sons hash browns were under cooked and only cooked on one side. The hag waitress ignored me when I told her that I couldn't eat the half raw sausages and gave me attitude when I asked if they had maple syrup for my pancakes. She smirked "noo!, We only have what I gave you"! So I asked for honey. She reached on another table where someone had just finished eating and grabbed a container with 5 paks of honey that were sticky from the previous guess finger prints. My adult son who is never a picky eater said his hashbrowns were cooked to fast and so was his omlete. My egg whites were greesy to the point that they looked wet. To top it all off we had to swat flies. We asked for to go boxes and left. We ended up throwing it all in the garbage. Our bill was $39 & some change. When I showed the check-out lady my half raw turkey sausages, she said, "oh my they're not done!" You should have told your waitress and requested them to be re-cooked. I said I did show her but she ignored me with attitude." She said, "Shes usually not that way. I had 4 and had to have them re-cooked yesterday myself. I'm not going to charge you for them." She took the sausages price off. Our bill ended up being $37. Still way to much for bfk for 2 ppl in my opinion. The receipt only gave a total with no item price breakdown, therefore I really dont know what we were charged for or if a tip is automatically taken out. I had pancakes, 2 raw sausages and 2 greasy egg whites & hot tea. My son had an omlete, hashbrowns and tea. This place was suggested to us while we waited for my son's vehicle to get serviced. Maybe we came on a bad morning. We will never go back to this Uncle Billy Manchester Rd location. The only positive thing is our food was ready less than 5 mins. Maybe that's why it was...

Absolutely abominable service, but decent food. This place has been around for as long as I can remember, and my impression of the service hasn't changed with time. But it's one of the few remaining places still open 24 hours, so it seems I still find myself here on occasion.

If you don't mind wait staff that only bother asking you what you want, informing you of all the things on the menu they can't/won't make you, and dropping off your check, then I'd absolutely recommend this joint. Just be sure you're prepared for disappointment when their "full menu served 24 hours" isn't really, when you have to wait 10 minutes for anyone to ask if you'd like a drink, and when your waitress doesn't introduce herself, make eye contact, or smile. Ever.

Also, and perhaps I'm slightly biased on this matter, I'd caution you from walking in with a service dog - unless of course you take no issue with a hostess across the room locking eyes with you, cross look on her face and raised eyebrows as she shuffles toward you with a noticeable lack of urgency, until comfortably within your personal space and finally questioning somewhat unnecessarily, "Two?", and then turning away without a word of instruction to follow her to your table.

If, however, you are a normal person who doesn't particularly enjoy being treated like an inconvenience, I'd advise you to only stop in when you've exhausted all other options. Or if you are literally starving and can't possibly crawl another half mile to the nearest McDonald's, where at least they say, "Thank you" and "Have...

Stopped by for brunch on 2/28. I've only driven by this place a few times but never actually stopped there for a meal. It was about 11am, and clearly they were having their rush, because the line was almost out the door!

I'm a patient person, and I wanted to give them a shot so I waited. From the moment I was greeted and sat down I was never for a moment neglected. My waitress Eddi (sorry if I didn't spell it right, I'm awful with names) was at my side almost instantaneously and took my drink order and gave me a few recommendations from the menu.

I decided to order french toast with sunny-side up eggs and 2 sausage links, and 2 pecan pancakes. Oh, and some cranberry juice.

Despite them being so packed I got my food in approximately 10 minutes. During my 10 minute wait I was watching the rest of the diner. All of the staff was constantly on the move tending to customers. Nobody was slacking. I don't know how they do it!

As for the food, my french toast was to die for. The eggs were cooked perfectly sunny-side up. The sausage links were also cooked just right. I was so stuffed that I was barely able to eat one of my two pecan pancakes, but the one I did eat was scrumptious. I love me some pecans!

Overall my rating is as follows:

Wait time: 5 stars. I was only in a line of 10 people and I was only in line for a few minutes. Staff: 5 stars. Constantly attended to all costumers, not letting anyone be neglected. Food: 5 stars. So delicious that I wanted to make myself sick by forcing myself to eat...
