Mandeville Daiquiris — Restaurant in Mandeville

First time here..... I only stopped in to Ed what it was as I live very close by.... Don’t go here. First, very smoky, no ventilation. 2nd-Not the best class of people, boyfriend fighting with girlfriend, etc. 3rd- It’s a $10.00 minimum!!!! Really!?!? I wanted a beer and asked for my check and the bartender says 10.00.....I had 1 beer!!! She says it’s a 10.00 minimum, look....there’s a sign. Who can see a little sign on a pole. She says if you have cash you can pay for the regular price, I ask why....no bar does this in town..... She said the owner made up the rule and she argued with him not to but he insisted. So I paid it and she gave me two beers to go. I didn’t want to drink 3 beers, just 1 but forced to..... Advice-tell guests before they order, if you pay with a card, it’s 10.00 minimum, or they come on here and let everyone know. We like going to this place because it is cozy and has trivia machines ( they are quite expensive but fun). A very chill crowd hangs out here. The downside is the drink prices and you have to pay close attention to what you are being charged for. They have those tiny plastic pour cups and utilize them unlike anything I have ever seen. And I worked in Beverage management for years. We have just learned to go and enjoy the good parts and be cautious. Pool crowd...

We have lived in Mandeville for almost 2 years now, and thought it would be a good idea to finally try Mandeville Daiquiris on the night of the Krewe of Eve parade. We got several daiquiris for our group of adults, and we were all highly disappointed by the lack of flavor and alcohol in these drinks. They were generic, cheap-tasting with absolutely NO remnants of alcohol what so ever.Highly disappointed.. save your money and...
