Silly Good Food
A friend recommended me to this place. I’m glad I answered the call. As I walked in the door, google had told me “not too busy” for 5pm. Wrong — it was around 70% capacity. After I ordered my food (12” shrimp/catfish poboy, small onion ring, and a drink I sat down thinking, “This will take a good while. Other people are awaiting their food already and I just got here. It should be here in 20 minutes, minimum.” I come from a culinary family and have worked in restaurants for years. I should be right. I was wrong. The food runner placed my food on the table. First the “small” onion rings arrived. Too much for me to eat. I’m 6’+ at 225. Trust me I can eat some food. Then came the sandwich. Too tall and too over-stuffed (a good thing for poboys). The shrimp ran around the foot of the sandwich and one shrimp had been placed atop like a finishing garnish. The catfish was a pleasing enough amount. The fry-level was perfect. (No typical dead-brown, overdone job) It looked fake it was done so well, again I’m educated in these matters. I took a shrimp and began to eat, too hot also. It should be called “Too-Poboys”. This is another common mistake in restaurants, cold food...not this place. Now, you will pay for it. I walked out paying ~25$. But it’s seafood and it’s poboys. That’s the way it is now. The onions rings were hot and fresh. Decent. Not the best I’ve ever had. As onion rings can be very flavorful. Hot and fresh always scores points, though. Lastly the sauces, if it’s an honest review I have to write it all down. I requested tartar, cocktail, and remoulade. These sauces are traditionally very flavorful and perfect for dipping. Their versions of all three were pretty bland with only the very slightest differences. If I closed my eyes they were so unremarkable it could have been the very same sauce in all three containers. These sauces should be markedly distinguishable. Regardless, I’m there for seafood and not sauces. Thusly 5 stars. If I could break it down I’d make it 4.5 stars as sauces are a definite plus to any experience. I wholeheartedly do the same as my friend and make my recommendation. Go and try it. It rocks...
Read moreService - On 9/19 around 11 AM the lady taking orders to the far right register was not polite at all. She responded in an irritated manner when we, as first time customers, were asking questions about items on the menu. She was not knowledgeable. She either didn’t know the rémoulade was available as an option to dress the Po’boy or she omitted the information intentionally. Food - Do not eat it! Bread was hard, stale and chewy. The fried shrimp were not all deveined and were tasteless, meaning absolutely no seasoning. The Muffelatta olive spread tasted more like giardiniera than an olive spread. Price - They provide a lot of food for the price. They would do better focusing on quality instead of quantity. Food runners - They were very polite and were not irritated at all when we asked for additional condiments. Atmosphere - Heavily patronized by an older and retirement age crowd.
Overall, I would not return. Spend your money elsewhere. Other places have better Po’boys that use quality ingredients at lower...

The Muffaletta here is a standout—layered with just the right amount of salami, ham, provolone, and that signature olive salad on a perfectly toasted bun. It’s hearty, flavorful, and everything you want in this New Orleans classic.
But the real surprise? The Boudin Egg Rolls. These crispy, golden rolls are packed with savory, spiced boudin and served with a dipping sauce that ties it all together. It’s a unique twist on a Louisiana staple, and it absolutely works.
Whether you're craving a po-boy, a plate of seafood, or something a little different, Pontchartrain Po-Boys delivers. Great food, friendly service, and authentic Louisiana flavor, what more could...
