Stopped in with my son, and being on the spectrum, he can be a bit indecisive. He also gets easily overwhelmed and was a bit bewildered staring at Smoothie King’s expansive menu, featuring over 40 options. Not counting the other supplement add ins, creating endless options; so I could see the panic on his face.
Luckily, Riley (spelling?) was there to help and she is a Smoothie King savant! During our visit she handled several different orders at once, switching seamlessly between the cash register, blenders, and ordering counter, all while paying adequate attention to each customer. I question why Smoothie King didn’t have more employees on duty, other than two employees, but Riley Fitch (according to her) is the real MVP.
After hearing what flavors my son was looking for, she recommended the Shredder shake. The chocolate version containing Gladiator protein powder, cocoa, and a protein blend. As he lifts weights, and does track and field, this smoothie was perfect for his training goals. It sounded good to him, so he went with it. I went with my same, reliable order-although I’ll be looking into the Keto Smoothies, as they have only 5g of sugar, as opposed to the 25-45 grams the others are packing.
But, I wanted to drop a note and thank the young lady for her kind patience. She is extremely polite, courteous, and knowledgeable. Not everyone possesses these qualities, and have the ability or desire to be kind and assist others, and they’re becoming more rare in the service industry. Read moreI visited this new drive-thru location in Mandeville, La. after placing my order in the Smoothie King app (Champion Member.) I noticed at the drive-thru billboard that a makeshift sign was posted “Out of bananas, sorry.) I informed the cashier I have a mobile order to pickup. She said they are out of bananas but a manager would be there shortly to deliver bananas. I told her I’d go get gas nearby and return for my order. I returned 15 minutes later and she informed that they still don’t have bananas. Now I’ve wasted time in the app and two trips to this location. She couldn’t give me an exact time to receive bananas and complete my order that I’ve already paid for so I told her I would attempt to cancel in the app. I provided feedback in the Smoothie King app for a resolution but I’ve only received an email from Shirlee Mendez of Smoothie King Guest Support passing the buck to the management team. Read moreI just had issues with another smoothie, so I talked with a guy named Tony over the phone and when I went to the store, him and another girl, I believe her name was Kaitlyn helped me. She remade the smoothie for me and I think it's legit the best vegan mango kale I've ever had. The store was clean and everytime I go there every person working is always so nice! I'll just stick to this location from now on even though it's a little farther from my home.
