I hate to leave a mediocre review because the food was truly so good, and the issues we had are likely explained by not being open very long and having a very young waitress who was overwhelmed in her role.
We ordered two appetizers, four pizzas, and a calzone. The fig cream cheese spread was delicious, but they only gave us three pieces of bread with it. We were told they ran out of bread and not offered any additional dipping options. Shortly thereafter we saw several other appetizers come out with the same bread. The wings were fantastic, some of the best I’ve ever had, as were the Margherita and Hawaiian pizzas.
Unfortunately our waitress forgot to put in the rest of the order for our party and we waited a very long time to finally get the other pizza and calzone, which we had to take to go. I suspect they just put in the order at the end of all of the other tickets, when they should have pushed it to the front. The waitress was very apologetic and gave us 25% off the delayed food and free dessert. The manager (owner?) seemed not to know any of this was happening until we were about to leave, and he offered to comp our whole meal. We had already paid at that point though (and were happy to because we did get the food and it was some of the best pizza we’ve had).
I look forward to returning in a couple of months and hope to amend my review to five stars...
Read moreFirst time here. When we saw 5 stars, well we had to try it! Took over 10 minutes to take our order, but they were busy. ordered appetizer, drinks, a calzone and small pizza. about 15 minutes later, appetizer arrived. 35 minutes later i motioned to the waitress (the ONLY one) to come over. After 50 MINUTES of our order, i asked if there was a problem. she said they are backed up. i said fine, but TELL us our meal would take over 50 minutes! She said, "... we don't have enough people working here ...". i understood and said we would like to pay for our drinks and app and just go. She nodded and walked away. 5 minutes later she tells me, "Your pizza will take about 15 - 20 minutes." I repeated we wanted the check and would like to leave. she left and 5 minutes later brings a lukewarm pizza. reluctantly, we ate a 2 pieces and here comes a hot calzone. it was surreal. i noticed 1 cook, 1 waitress/hostess, and 1 bartender/buss person/server. there seems to be a very serious communication problem and possibly language barrier, as well. Proceed...

Absolutely amazing. This place blew us away — hands down the best pizza we’ve had anywhere, and that includes big cities and popular joints. The Sausage with Caramelized Onions, Goat Cheese, and Hot Honey was out-of-this-world delicious. 20/10. Sweet, savory, cheesy perfection with just the right kick. The BBQ Chicken was a solid 10/10, full of bold flavor, and beautifully balanced. The decor is stunning…as upscale as it gets and by far the best we’ve seen at any pizza place we’ve ever been to.
And let’s address the elephant in the room — yes, good food takes time. It’s not fast food, it’s worth-it food. If you want a 3-minute meal, McDonald’s is right down the street. But if you want something that’s actually memorable, made with care by a small, hardworking family-owned team, this is it.
To be honest? McClaine’s Pizza has officially been dethroned. Move over — there’s a new pizza boss...
