El Sombrero #2 — Restaurant in Manhattan Beach

Service was top notch but I dont go to a restaurant for the service. I go for the food. I think a lot of the reviews on here forget that. 😕 The food was extremely bland. I bet money none of the workers eat here. Even if they get a free meal. I took their recommendation and tried the pork burrito. The red sauce it was topped with was bad 👎. The red sauce alone 😔 was too much for me. I couldn't even taste the cheese. There just wasnt enough it. Dash of cheese. Big mistake. Lots of pork. Topped with a good amount of guac. The burrito is a perfect large size. Unfortunately th pork was bland and tastless. Oddly the red sauce at the bottome of the dish was ok. The hot lettuce inside the burrito is strange. Hard pass. Wont be coming back. Great staff though. Old 90's microwave style...

I'm vegan and just walking into a taco spot its unexpected to find something delicious and also vegan but it took me 2 seconds to order such a great meal, and on top of that lots of people don't even know what really qualifies something as vegan but the cook here even made sure I knew there was milk in the guacamole when I asked for it! Saved me a stomach ache and made me want to come back again and again. But there's more!! I got take out and a lot of places now don't want you eating takeout inside but they not only let me eat it inside they also gave me water and utensils. Everything about this place screams good vibes I love it so much. If you're vegan try getting the vegetarian hard shell taco with no cheese and add grilled vegetables. And add a grilled jalapeño....

Place is just ok. Flavors are nothing to write home about (-1 star), but what got me the most is the guack (-1 star). It was not made there. It was clearly poured out of a long lasting guack tub. The least a Mexican restaurant should make in-house, is the guack. They also lost a star because 3 out of the 4 child seats they had were missing screws. The one they originally gave us lost a support board as soon as we placed the car seat on it. Upon inspection, I realized 3 were not safe. I informed the waitress and she said she'd let management know. I don't think I'll go back so I'm not sure what will come of it.
