Worst park ever! It’s suppose to be a public skate park but you must have a membership to enter! There is a city staff present at all times, right in front of the door making sure you wear all safety equipment in order to skate. Super Lame! And he just watches you while you skate. Weird! You don’t need a city a staff present at basketball courts, or tennis courts or anywhere! Or charge memberships to be in these premises of other outside sports. It is also a waste of city funds for a city worker to stand and do nothing all day while no one visits because of the major headache to enter the premises.

Head to toe pads is considerate, however, the cultural norms at this type of recreational facility do not typically include pads and a helmet. Local basketball courts don’t require mouth guards. An alternative would be to implement a waiver system that the already employed workers can manage, potentially online waivers. I’d also recommend a yearly fee. This would contribute to the extended hours which also needs to be address. 6-hours a day doesn’t cater to the diversity of this crowd. This park has the potential to host young and old, small and large, rich and not so rich. Hours should be 8 am to...

However, if you are a parent with children under the age of 12, this is an ideal place to take your children to skate because it is empty and hence very safe for young children.
It would be wonderful if the city could try and create an inclusive and welcoming park that the community could enjoy, however, that is clearly not the case with this park and this is...
