Donuts — Restaurant in Manhattan

This place is the best place in manhattan to get donuts! I usually never write reviews but this place made me really happy today and I'll definitely be coming back! If I could give 100 stars out of 10 id easily do it! I am a big foodie. Naturally I have high expectations when it comes to food and baked goods because I grew up with my pop making everything from scratch, and my mom making homeade baked goods from her own recipes. I used to go to varsity donuts frequently about 4 years ago because they were super good, but now they aren't as good as I remember so I decided to look for a better place to go and I've already found it! This place makes the best donuts I've had in a long time! Their donuts aren't particularly flashy looking like varsity donuts but they make up for it with their amazing rich flavor, and soft pillow like donuts. The texture and flavor of these donuts really made me so happy. Not going to lie, I was apprehensive to go in because the place does look slightly outdated, and no one posted pictures of what the donuts look like, so I was really scared of being dissapointed. I've tried a lot of new places to go out to eat recently, and I have been a little disappointed in manhattan resterauntd since a lot of the new places ive tried arent great and the old places aren't as good as they used to be probably due to covid times unfortunately. Extremely rude they have weevils in their flour. They have no freezer or fridge to store their flour in. Very rude not welcoming and the lady made snarky remarks with dirty looks after we seen a weevil and when we said something about it. We will never go here again completely disgusted.

Edit and reply to owner: Hi there it was meant for the west side location for donuts yes I have the right address. I bring my kids there some mornings and it’s always the same woman. She is extremely rude and I mentioned something about seeing a bug in a donut that looked like a weevil and she was extremely rude. She was extremely rude towards me in front of my husband and kids and my husband and teenage daughter witnessed this as well. I love small businesses and will always support them but due this, I would rather go somewhere else. The day this happened our family was heading to a funeral right after leaving your donut shop. Their website states open at 6:00 AM. Was there to pick up donuts for an early morning meeting.
