Smoothie King — Restaurant in Manhattan

My order was the only one in at the time, but it took quite a bit for it to be ready. The person preparing it was slow. His colleague then pointed out to the smoothie and was questioning him. The smoothie looked like juice, but he insisted that he used all the right ingredients. The colleague ended up still serving it to me. I should've asked for them to make another one, but I doubt they would be able to make it right. I would've given it one-star, but this is just one visit where they have screwed up. I always get the same smoothie and those other times, everything had been consistently well-prepared, i.e. same taste and smoothie texture. They're so wonderful here! The smoothies are so delicious! Aside from that though, when my Mother In Law was in Hospice care, and wasn't eating, we were there everyday. They knew our situation and knew exactly what to make her. We just told them the flavors she likes and her allergies. They pumped them full of protein, gut health, and multivitamins. Pretty sure these college kids in this Smoothie King are part of why she is now home, walking with only a cane, and totally back to her old self! It really is a miracle! I’ve been a regular at Smoothie King for 10 years. Moving to the area last year makes this my new home location. I’ve never left a review before but one of your employees has been so great I needed to. Because of the change from dates to date powder my smoothie has been lacking the consistency and taste I had grown accustomed to. Somehow Darian figured out how to make it just the way it used to be and saved a daily customer.

In addition she’s always so cheerful and personable. Darian also has a permanent smile that’s always refreshing to see!
