First time being there, atmosphere seemed like a cool hangout spot. Walking in I wasn't sure if I seat myself or wait so I approached the bar to ask. The waiter approached quick to take order. I ordered the nachos with steak that mentioned in the description that it had sautéed jalapenos so that caught my attention immediately. I got handed quesadillas so I said I didn't order that then shortly my nachos came out but with no steak, steak was brought out later on a plate and then the jalapenos were fresh jalapenos not sautéed so I figured whatever I'm hungry and having a stressful day as it is. My ticket was brought to me, never asked how my food was or if I even needed anything else. I enjoyed looking at the pics customers previously submitted and noticed a dessert but apparently they no longer served it and was not offered another dessert option. I feel like missed opportunities but it's a college area so maybe not in their mindset...
Read moreI have always been incredibly impressed with JP's. I enjoy eating there whenever my family comes up to visit, and I have never had any bad experiences. The fact that the meat comes from on campus is a perk that other restaurants just really can't offer. I would give JP's food a 5/5 stars any day, as I have tried multiple different items and been completely satisfied with all of them. The service is also great there! The employees are observant and helpful but not to the point where you feel like they're being pushy. They come around at the perfect times for ordering, bringing out food, and bringing out the check. I've never felt rushed to leave or pressured to buy anything I didn't want. I personally feel that the prices are a great deal for the quality of food. JP's rivals any burger place I've ever been to and consistently comes out on top. If you haven't tried it yet-- what are you...
Read moreWe came in and met with a group. The waiter never even asked us if we wanted anything. Never offered a beverage. Inattentive at best. Coupled with the lousy parking. 3/4 of the spaces around are for KSU housing. There are ancient parking meters and it's unclear if you have to put coins in or use some app that is plastered to them with a sticker. Once you get to the door a sign says they don't check the meters after 5. Too bad, I already parked a block away and I'm ticked off. You could have a lot better signage. But then it seems you don't really care to have staff that takes care of anyone. For what is worth this was right at 5:30pm. Nice place but I don't have a permit and won't fight it for lunch. People walking enjoy. No photos because we were never offered a menu or to have an...
