I'm always remiss to leave a less than stellar review for a local small business but I also can't lie about our experience.
We went during what was normal rush hour for literally all the places in Poyntz but upon entering, there wasn't a single person in here. We were a little surprised, given other establishments right next door were packed but decided to give it a go anyhow.
Everything is basically a la cart but the prices in comparison to other locally owned burger shops comes across as if it's meal pricing. But not a big deal - as we were just assuming the burgers would be amazing.
While the burger itself wasn't bad, it was incredibly lackluster. There was almost no seasoning to it and it felt very much like something I could cook at home from frozen even though we assume it's locally sourced beef. The sauce however was impressive and definitely made up for the burger that fell short.
We ordered sweet potato fries on one order and regular fries on the other. Again, both lacking any seasoning and we were left with just the sauce which thankfully made up for the bland fries.
We both ordered a shake because people had raved about the shakes as well and I will say this was the one good thing that we ordered that I didn't find disappointing. I would definitely stop back in for this and this alone but the price and flavor for other items are not appealing enough to spend that much money on.
I hope they can figure out how to last, grow and adapt because the market for small businesses is incredibly tough and they're going to need to figure out a way to attract more customers during restaurant peak hours. But I wish...

Read more🍔 My burger scale out of 10: 10 is a burger made by Gordon Ramsay. 9 is a burger made at 5 guys. 8 is almost as good as five guys. 7 is not as good as five guys. 6 is better than fast food. 5 is McDonald's or Burger King quality. 4 and under is always a waste of money.
😅 I rank their burger a high 6.
Pros: Burger was made warm, cheese was melted, grill marks present. Made in less than 10minutes. Sparks sauce was amazing! Their sides are simple but tasty, 8 out of 10👌🏻.
Cons: 🤨Burger was as dry as a McDonald's double quarter pound that had been sitting in the warmer a little too long.
How I'd fix 🤔 : The burger pattie needed to be a little thicker, cooked at a slightly higher temp, with a slice of salted butter on top, and seasoned, so that it retained all of that juicy burger goodness.
👥️ Customer service was a 10/10. These people are extremely friendly. Staff were clean, attentive, and happy to help and listen. Their owner is genuinely a nice person.
Restaurant appearance was a 7ish/10. Style was a little confusing. It was kind of Midwestern, southern, sporty, rural ish... The building was spotless and smelled delicious.
🤑 Pricing was affordable and on par with other local restaurants.
I'd be happy to come back to this restaurant in the future. Overall experience...
