Honey Dew Donuts — Restaurant in Mansfield

I'm updating my review as over the years it seems like the quality here has gone down a few notches. I never used to have issues here. The food was good, the coffee was made exactly how I ordered and tasted great, but something has changed along the way. Compared only to other local Honey Dews I can say this location isn't great. They've been missing the mark almost every time I come here now. Coffee is bitter even when asked for sugar and tastes burnt. Food items like their breakfast cup are poorly thrown together and look unappetizing. This location is 3 minutes from my house and I pass it every single day I go to work, but it's just not worth stopping at anymore. The reason I go to HD is simple; it's a local company (the headquarters are right next to one of their shops in Plainville) that's unpretentious. There are several I go to in the area and they all have certain things in common; they have regular customers that meet there (90% of whom the staff know by name), the staff get to know you and your usual order and they're actually concerned with making sure your order is just what you want/to your liking. I respect the fact that market saturation and world dominance aren't their business model and their tagline "enjoy the local flavor" is just that - it's an honest New England coffee shop. So annoyed figured I’d get honey dew haven’t had it in a while since the Mansfield location was told to fill the cups all with ice So I went It is chuck loaded with ice no taste of coffee it’s all hot chocolate I took two sips not only was it gone but it was all thick chocolate no coffee I can’t stand them. U scam people and the make it gross. Officially done. Btw the manager is the one that told me corporate told them they have to fill the cup all the way to the top with ice. 4 buck a coffee for nothing/ better off going to Dunkin they are trained to fill its 75 precent the way and that’s the right way.
