I had an absolutely terrible experience at Palio’s Pizza, and I am beyond upset. The workers were incredibly rude from the moment I walked in. There was no greeting, no friendliness, just cold and dismissive attitudes like they couldn’t care less that I was there. When I asked a simple question about the menu, they acted like I was bothering them. It’s shocking that a place that relies on customer service has employees behaving like this.
What made everything worse was the complete lack of hygiene. I noticed the workers handling food without wearing gloves, which is disgusting. They didn’t seem concerned about being sanitary at all. One of them even touched their face and continued prepping pizza without washing their hands. That kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially in a restaurant. It made me really uneasy about eating anything from this place.
Needless to say, I’ll never be coming back. The combination of rude staff and gross, unsanitary food prep is just too much. I had high hopes for this place, but it’s clear they don’t care about their customers or the quality of their food. If you value your health and your time, I suggest going somewhere else. Palio’s Pizza was a huge...
Read moreone thing the wife said delicioso and i agree. I think this is my new favorite place in texas thus far. Was pretty busy here when we went. We ordered two medium calzones, a small kids pizza, spinach artichoke dip, and salad.
This place has some of the best food ive had since ive moved to texas from NY. The spinach artichoke dip tasted really fresh and delicious. Build you own calzone is great, and maybe i need to start trying different things in the calzone. I had a chicken, spinach feta cheese (the feta was not too strong), mozzarella, and olive oil calzone. The calzone are excellent portions. You may be tempted to order a xl large one, but i was stuff after eating half of a medium.
The negative: im not gonna even take a star away due to their struggle to find the best pepperoni at a good price. I have been in texas three years and its hard to find good pepperoni. Some places have it but it is a little pricey and probably because it is so rare. Their pepperoni used on the pizza and calzones tastes like those pepperoni's on the little toni's frozen pizza (anyone who had one knows what im talking about). Other than that, everything else...
Read moreMy three children and I went to Palio's in Mansfield with my parents this evening (6/18/2023) for Father's Day dinner.
The only tables big enough for six people were still filled with left over food from previous diners. There were 5 tables that were untouched. And when we had arrived, there were only three cars in the parking lot of current diners.. so they had to have been sitting for a while.
One of my toddlers ordered the kid's mac and cheese. It was penne noodles swimming in a cheese soup! I took it to the counter to ask if they could just drain some of it so that she could reach the noodles. They threw away her dish to make a whole separate bowl, and left it just as soupy.... but only gave about half a portion in the bowl. It was inedible.
I had the spaghetti and meat sauce, which upset my stomach for several hours.
My dad had been excited to try them because they had a decent selection of gluten free items. However, he did not like the veggie pizza, because the ratio of veggies to pizza was about 3:1.
The prices were also quite high considering the portions and quality of food made. We won't...
