This place I believe is new, just opened April 2nd i believe. One thing that you do need to do is maybe hire someone new at the front. The 2 young ladies don't get me wrong they are nice but they need to pay more attention to the tables, they need to be cleaning or wiping down the tables and maybe pay attention when the food comes out. They would make a face when the kitchen would ring the bell, but why wouldn't the kitchen ring the bell the girls would just be talking and not paying attention to the food coming out. The food was great I don't know why they have some bad reviews. The Grilled Quesadilla was a 4 out of 5 I'd like the tortilla a little more toasty but it was good it was the chicken one. We also had the birria tacos with consome and it was a good 4 out of 5. To tie it all off we had the tamarindo water and yum it was another 4 out of 5. They had salsas I didn't know you can get your own chips because once again the 2 ladies up front didn't say help your self to some chips and Salsa it wasn't because I was like this food is missing something it was salsa. We liked the chile de arbol sauce and another red one with seeds they didn't have much left but what I could get it tasted good. The green guacamole looking one was okay it just needed salt or something didn't taste that good straight. Will be definitely going back for another Quesadilla it was so good.
Read moreDisappointing and VERY bad. First, went in several days ago and everything made with chicken was out. How does a place specifically specializing in chicken run out of chicken?!? I ended up settling on barbacoa tacos and a side of guacamole. Bad decision. Got home and the barbacoa was as tough as jerky. Rice hard, beans tasted of chemicals and my guacamole, which I didn’t realize they charged $6.99 for a little side of, was essentially just a watery green liquid with rotten tomatoes and onion in it. It tasted more of mold than guacamole!! Tried to call the store and nobody would answer. Drove back up there to get a refund and they had closed over an hour early! Called them the next day and was explained by the person answering that once we leave with our food and go home, they are no longer responsible for if it goes stale. “HOW ABOUT HARD AS A ROCK AND SPOILED?” I asked them. They said sorry, there’s absolutely nothing they will do about it a day later. I informed I drove all the way back, but they had closed over an hour early so I couldn’t address it on the same day and they weren’t answering their phones. I then asked for the manager and they said it’s their policy and they do not refund or exchange except on the day of service and refused to let me speak to anyone else. Tried to call back and ask for a manager three more times and got hung up on. I am now disputing the charge with my bank. If you cook crap food and serve spoiled WAY overpriced guacamole at $6.99 for a little take out cup, AND run out of chicken so often… PLUS have horribly inexcusable customer service then you WILL...
Read moreSo I wanted to really like this place. I'll give them maybe one more try as I await for the owner to return my call. So, Google says they close at 10. I came in about 8:50pm and they told me we couldn't done it. Well that's fine no problem. I order the quesadilla that's been seen on social media. Two flauta cups and a side of consume. Well they forgot my consume and it cost almost $4. They only gave us two small sauces. Then said we had to pay another. Our quesadilla was "fried" instead of "grilled". Then we ordered some guacamole which was like $5. And it literally had no avocado IN IT. It was only vegetables mixed with a light sauce. Then on top of that I almost threw it up because the vegetables were OLD! As in NOT FRESH. I called the number on the receipt and it's for the Forest Hill location. I'm saddened by this I really wanted to like this restaurant. Also, they turned away 3 large families because they were in a hurry to close before 10pm. I will rethink my review id the issue...
