I have been coming to stefano's for 20 years give or take. My boyfriend and I grew up enjoying there food and the consistency of their staff. I so also go every weekend with my kids. We also recognize some the staff from over the years. Well they must of hired some new people. My boyfriend and I were looking to order out tonight for dinner from stefano's. When we called this evening (unaware of the closing hours) the lady answered the phone saying " thank you for calling stefano's pick up or delivery?"So I began placing our order. (Now again unaware that they close at 9pm when we called at 9:24pm) while placing order the lady hung up the phone. It even sounded like someone hung up the phone. So there wasn't much confusion there. So I called right back and the same lady picked up the phone saying "thank you for calling stefano's WERE CLOSED.) So I tried explaining that I was just on the phone placing a order, how are you closed? She just kept replying that they were closed over and over. Didn't even try to explain like " hey I'm sorry about the confusion didn't realize what time but we are in fact closed." Nothing like that at all. We would have understood that at least. Anyway she hangs up Immediately. So I'm little confused at this point so I called again looking to speak with a manager, to clear this up a bit. The manager was completely rude interrupting me every other sentence. So the call ended and my boyfriend was completely upset with how I was being treated. So when he called back to inform the manger that's not the way you handle customer service, the manger processed to deny that I was hung up on in the beginning of all this saying that she was there the whole time. Now if that was the case the lady wouldn't have picked up the phone after closing hours, taking our order in the first place. Anyway not trying to sound like a Karen, but this experience has tanted are want to order from stefano's every week. We hope through this review the owner will see that proper customer service is always important in...
Read moreNot good, ordered delivery for a ceaser wrap, a Greek salad with grilled chicken, and a LG fry. $38 total. The wrap was mediocre, not enough protein. The fry portion was small. Only enough for 1.5 people max, and the fries were not of quality. They were not crisp, or salted, just plain french fries. The salad was ok the lettuce was crisp, but they skimped heavily on protein, there was about 3 broken up skinny strips of chicken, they also do not use fresh chicken. They use chicken similar to the Purdue bagged chicken strips you find at the grocery store. It also was disappointing they couldn't be bothered to honor my request of having no olives on the salad, and adding extra feta, onion, and green peppers- even after the guy repeated the order back. Overall the experience rubbed me the wrong way. It just seemed like another order to fulfill, with no personality...
Read moreThey are kind of a cranky crew at Stefano’s Pizza. They're fast, polite and they get your order right on the money 99.9% of the time. Just don't expect a lot of laughs or smiles when you pick up your dinner.
That 99.9% figure is really what it's all about anyway. For pizza, Stefano's is one of the few shops making Italian style crusts in the are - a little stretchier & chewier than the prevalent crispy/squishy/oily Greek crusts. I love 'em both and keep this one in the rotation. Great sauce & cheese here.
For my crew, grinders are the most frequent things we order. Not only are the the biggest, weightiest, deliciousest subs in town they are probably the best priced.
And you may or may not have heard, but if you can't get to Philly for a cheesesteak, Stefano's Steak subs (ask for Provolone AND American cheese) may very well be the closest...
