This was really a 3.5 for me, but I didn't want to bump it down since they just opened and are still so new.
The espresso is okay, not great 😔 Considering your only other option is Dunkin, Lawadessa is marginally better, maybe.
Regarding the atmosphere, there is a lot of negative space both in the furniture itself and on the walls, making the space feel disjointed and too industrial of a vibe.
As I watched people come in, I noticed confusion about where to line up (near the entrance or move out into the large empty space?) 🤔
There is only one work table (counter height as pictured). Otherwise, the options are cushioned seating with side tables low enough to place your coffee.
I saw a group of three people combine three side tables to create a bigger eating space for their food. That's not ideal.
💌Recommendations to make the space more cohesive:
👂 lower the music volume ↪️ move the coffee station further in to prevent clogs, especially with the single door being the only entrance/exit point (I would put the station where the refrigerator case is currently up against the back wall) 👥 add counter height seating along the windows facing out 🚮 add an additional trash/cutlery section further into the room (only one trash as you exit) 🖼️ add signs in strategic areas both for decor, education and guidance (where are the restrooms, where should you order, what's the history of this place, where are the baked goods from, etc) 🧢 get more merchandise to stock the shelves 🪴 add plants to warm up the space 👩💻 consider adding more workable tables 🙋♀️ train your staff to smile, be warm, and friendly
Hoping things improve and this space becomes an awesome spot for those in the neighborhood...
Read moreI’m sorry to write a mediocre review, but our experience was disappointing. I came here on a Sunday late morning with two teenage boys, between basketball games, hoping to have a nice mocha and pastry.
The place is beautiful, pleasant interior design, clean restroom. We sat by the only normal table but were asked to move because it was reserved, so we sat around a small and low table. We stayed for another 20 minutes and no one came to that reserved table, they did not have to tell us to move.
It took them forever to make a latte and two mochas, although there were not many customers. I mistakenly started drinking the mocha because it looked like a latte. It was hard to read the sticker on the cup without a magnifying glass. I had to apologize and order another mocha for my son. The price on the board was $4.75, but they charged $6.80 , because it’s different if you sit down or take it out in a disposable cup.
Those prices are way too high, and not presented clearly on the wall. The manager saw me negotiating with the cashier (a nice young guy) and did not offer to just give us another mocha on the house or at half price, as a courtesy.
These little things make a big difference for a customer, they leave a bad taste. Overall- very nice cafe, but slow service and high prices,...
Read moreCute little coffee shop! The location is good, good parking options, fun theme, clean and modern interior.
VERY friendly staff.
The almond croissant I got was good.
The coffee. The actual shots/coffee tasted good. But one star is lost due to the foam. The foam should be thick and decadent. It should be dense and have very small bubbles.
This foam as you can see is airy and light. Big bubbles. It dissipated very quickly. The milk was also “over steamed” as it was way too hot.
This is not a reason to not come and try it. It seems to be very new based on a lack of reviews and the fact that the first coffee picture is from 10 days ago.
I’m also originally from the North West. The coffee shop I frequented, all of the baristas were literally award winning baristas. So maybe this region prefers the lighter foam.
Either way, come...
