Silvano — Restaurant in Manteno

Around end of march 2024 My husband ,my self,and my 9 year old came and dined in .We entered the side were you pick up your order .As we approach the area to let them know we’re dining in .I seen such a amazing thing that a woman was cleaning up part of the floor by hand and let me say just by walking in not only is there a window when you walk in that,where you can see them making the pizza which is really…..cool .Its very clean and that’s just walking in .So back to the woman cleaning the floor by hand she was doing a great job ,but also she said hello and was so very polite.She then proceeded to ask if we need assistance,and she helped us .Then the other people that worked there they were so helpful and polite as well.Now to the pizza and other foods they word so very good that I was absolutely delighted and so very impressed.Service was exceptional . when we were just getting our order done with our beautiful server ,,,The amazing woman we met in the beginning came up to us and ask how things were going with us and our server said great they are done ordering and she asked my son who is 9 what he ordered he said 2 things of wildcat cheese pizza and a small cheese pizza .So she jokes with him says 2 of them you only need one of wildcat cheese pizzas just one can be a meal in it’s own and he says it’s for my parents and us also to not leave this out we also ordered a lot of other food as well .So the amazing woman says because you guys are ordering the 2 of the wildcat cheese pizzas we will give the 2nd one for you guys on the house and we will only charge for one and we say nope it’s ok and we will take care of it.So she says ok but you will be given 3 and the 3rd one we will give you guys free on the house and you can enjoy that one tomorrow and we were so shocked of the kindness .Told her we didn’t want her to get into trouble so no worries and then the most beautiful thing happens we find out she is the owner. This impressed my husband and I not only does she keep her place clean and will work with her staff ,treats them kindly,cares about her customers and treats them like family and this was my first time eating there as well as meeting a owner that cares deeply about the food,the staff,and above all her customers !She is all around amazing and her Bar is actually also very clean ,staff are wonderful and so very welcoming .The Long Islands were amazing and the bar area was very welcoming.I would love to work there it is such a positive atmosphere with such amazing people ❤️our family will absolutely recommend this place 110% and will return .Food absolutely amazing,staff incredible,and owned by a wonderful ,hardworking and all around beautiful person and will return so very soon ❤️,Hey I’m going to see if that wonderful owner if she needs help would love to...

Mediocre. Wanted to try a new pizza place around the area and saw many decent reviews of Silvano’s. Ordered the deep dish, the original thin, and some of the garlic Silvano sticks. A few issues. First, the woman making the pizza was also the one taking customer payment. The minute I saw this, it immediately was a turn off. Something about a Cook with flour on them prepping pizzas and then just taking cash/credit cards and then going back to making pizzas felt…icky. As far as the pizza…definitely not my favorite but there’s also many worse. I would say overall it was bland. The location is slightly hid in the downtown Manteno area. Google maps got confused when directing me there. I never saw the inside beside the dimly lit “hallway” that looked like a horror movie location. Was the pizza terrible? No…but the Silvano sticks were better. Will I be...

Yes, given the area, Silvano’s is “good” but (to me) they’re not worth the irritation/annoyance that comes with placing an order for delivery from them. Not long ago, when my parents placed an order for delivery from Silvano’s for themselves and me, it took THREE TIMES for them to get my calzone correct (I asked for a calzone with pepperoncini, black olives and NO CHEESE).

Tonight after placing an order through the “Slice” app (that they’re affiliated with), I was given a delivery time of 8:40pm…when I called at 8:59pm to ask of the status of my delivery, they were “pretty sure” my order was out with their driver and would be delivered to me soon…
