We came in and ordered a large cheese pizza with cheese bread. They were not busy and we were told it would be ready in 20 minutes. Came back in 25 and our pizza hadn’t even been made yet. The owner was standing behind the make line picking food off the make line and eating it as if it was a normal practice. He comes around the counter and said let me bring it to you. I said okay, we’re two doors down at the Scarborough Inn. 40 minutes later I call to see where our order is. They I was the next order to be delivered and it be an additional 15 minutes. So I walk down there and pick it up myself. The owner throws in two desserts for the trouble but they were so stale they weren’t edible. And after waiting an hour and a half the pizza was burnt.....it takes a special set of skills to take an hour and half to make cook and burn a cheese pizza.......And the owner is supposedly the mayor...
Read moreI have traveled long and far to find a place that matches the absolute pure and amazing experience that I have had at Applebee’s in Franklin, VA....as I was going to set a review for this hole in the wall in manteo NC I had noticed a young man and his frustrations that it was not up to par with Wancheses very own Champs Chicken....as a fine diner I knew instantly this was an obvious troll.....until I went there....friendly people, big smiles and the feel of something real. Now I personally don’t compare the champs chicken to the Applebee’s in Franklin Virginia but anyone driving threw the south east should avoid places like this and make the hike over to Champs Chicken or the Applebee’s in Franklin Virginia if you want a true dining experience......oh and yes, the review for here...ran by skinny all white 14 year olds that make mushy wings and burnt pizza and smoke dope...

The "giant pizza slices" are aptly named and likely to be as much or more than you can eat (boxes are available if you find yourself endowed with leftovers). The Greek salad 🥗 was legit; bountiful - with fresh greens, sweet red onion, excellent dressing with plenty of feta crumbles and ample peperoncino. We arrived a little early in the evening and enjoyed the pleasure of our slices originating from a freshly prepared pizza with toppings to order. The PIZZA was SUPERB, and would please even the most discriminating "trattore" in northern Italy. I understand why this restaurant has enjoyed so many years of success and based on my experience it is underrated. You really can't go wrong here. Ask about cats and Roanoke's ...
