6 Years ago now, I decided to propose to my wife. The thing is, she's also a jeweler. How do you find jewelry for a jeweler? Well it's all about craftsmanship. She'd found Silver Bonsai on Facebook and really admired their work. When I proposed, I did so with only the diamond and the promise that she would choose the artist involved and we'd have we wedding set made. We decided on Silver Bonsai for their craftsmanship and their dedication to their customers. When the time came to pick up her wedding set, we made our way out to Manteo during a blizzard. They were a little hesitant to open the shop after the storm had settled, but I explained how far we'd driven and that this was our only opportunity to come in and have the stone set. My wife and I lived several hours away and we both worked for a company that required some crazy hours from us. They agreed to meet us in the morning and set the stone. Thanks to Kat and Ben for their superb customer service, surpassed only by their immensely creative and richly crafted designs. Already thinking about what I...

The man at the front said it’d be no problem. He then took my bracelet to a woman in the back and then returned to me saying, “This is costume jewelry. We can’t help you.”
Half of their store is costume jewelry, so I found this to be incredibly rude. Secondly, all they had to do was take pliers and remove the excess links. This store is pretentious, and would rather turn away new customers rather than being willing to help like any other...
